I'm a pretty avid viewer of all the shows listed with the exceptions of Modern Family, Cougar Town and Nikita.  Not because I don't like the shows, because I love them, but I usually forget what days they come on and miss them entirely.  Modern Family and Cougar Town are brilliant shows.  Their creative and smart comedies that never fail to make me feel better and put a big dorky smile on my face.

I have a few new shows I'm excited about tuning in for.  The Cape, which premiered last week, is full of all kinds of awesome.  It's about a framed cop who takes justice into his own hand and becomes a vigilante under the guise of his son's favorite comic book hero, The Cape.  I originally tuned in for Summer Glau because I loved her in Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles and the entire cast and show has completely won me over.

Another new show is Off The Map on ABC.  The show follows a trio of doctors who go abroad to seek a new life.  It's like a Doctor's Without Borders kind of program.  I didn't give it much as far as expectations were concerned, but the show has heart.  I cried during the pilot and when I pilot can do that, then it's worth tuning in for every week.

Lastly, Being Human on SyFy premiers tonight.  I know the show is taken from the original British series of the same name and frankly I hadn't heard of it until I read that Jeremy Carver (producer/writer for Supernatural) was going to leave Supernatural for this new series.  So I researched it to find that I would probably love the original series for having all the elements that I love so much all ready.  The show is about three roommates struggling with dark secrets; one is a ghost, the other a vampire and the last is a werewolf.  How much more awesome can it get?  The show is going to follow these three as they struggle with their secrets, living their double lives and trying their best to maintain their humanity.  I could not be more excited! Plus Mark Pellegrino is going to star in it as well!!  I don't know what role he's will play in the lives of the three roommates and I don't care, it's Mark Friggin' Pelligrino! He could play a lamp shade and I'll be just as happy.

As for my other weekly shows, you all know how much I love Supernatural and I'm so ready for it to come back next week.  Just 11 more days!  I know a lot of fans have lost some faith in our beloved show, saying the writers are running out of ideas and the statement, "I've read this in a fanfic once," is being used a lot.  After two seasons of a looming apocalypse and a war between Heaven and Hell I'm loving season six.  The boys back to hunting the things that go bump in the night.  It's what I loved so much about the first season.  The Winchesters may not be at a place where we can all breathe easy, but they are together and that's what counts most to me.  I'm not ready for the show to end.  Some fans may say that the show is running out of ideas but as long as they still keep coming I'm sticking with Supernatural.  Until the bitter friggin end.

Another show I'm fairly obsessed with is The Vampire Diaries (if you haven't been clued in by my posts of late).  It started out as a guilty pleasure during it's first season.  I would just watch because it would air before Supernatural, but the show has gained so much steam this season it's amazing how much I have fallen in love with this show.  I know it gets the whole "Twilight on TV" thing and yes some themes are similar, but it's done very subtly and doesn't take away from the story the show is trying to tell.  I have never read the Twilight books, but I've seen bits and pieces of the movies and The Vampire Diaries is still so much better.  The female leads are entirely different.  Where Bella is vulnerable and naive, Elena is strong and aware.   What I love about this show is the strong cast.  Not only are you interested in the main story of the three leads of the show, but the subplots and minor characters are so engaging you can't help but be completely engulfed by them.  The minor characters are what I love about the show and keep me coming back every week.  I just ask you give the show a chance.

Southland on TNT is the most riveting hour of my entire week.  This cop series first premiered on NBC in 2009 and after it's first season it was canceled.  The second season was then picked up in 2010 by TNT and it's exploded since then.  I was so heartbroken when it was canceled, but I heard it had been picked up by TNT I was beyond ecstatic.  The show is so much more raw and gritty now that it is on TNT.  You will not be disappointed with this show.  I HIGHLY recommend it.

Grey's Anatomy and Nikita fight for my attention.  I have been a fan of GA since the beginning and even though it's not the show I remember anymore it's just so difficult to let go, so I keep watching.  Nikita (it was very hard trying to find a promo poster for that show that wasn't so overtly sexual by the way) quickly became of favorite of mine.  It's an exciting show in which the female leads kick all kinds of ass.  Unfortunately, it is in the same time slot as GA and sometimes I couldn't record it on my DVR due to other family members wanting to watch TV. Ugh. I'm going to try and stay up with Nikita when it comes back from it's mid-season break.

Ghost Adventures. What can I say about Ghost Adventures?  It's awesome.  I love the guys, Zak annoys me at times, but they are wonderful.  They are incredibly passionate about what they are doing and that gets me excited for every episode.  Some lockdowns are down right terrifying.  How they do it is beyond me.  Love that show.

As for Torchwood and Doctor Who, I'm not watching new seasons of these two shows.  I stumbled upon them one afternoon when I landed randomly on BBC America.  Season one of Torchwood and season four of Doctor Who is currently airing now.  Torchwood is currently my fave out of the two and I have yet to miss an episode.  Does anyone know when the new season of Torchwood begins and where I can watch it?

Two shows I totally forgot about are Glee and Raising Hope that come out on Tuesdays on Fox.  I was all about Glee during the first season, but I've been a bit underwhelmed by this season.  I don't watch regularly as much as I used to and if I do tune it's because I don't want to miss Raising Hope.  Raising Hope is my favorite show on Fox.  The show is about Jimmy, a now single parent, trying to raise his daughter, Hope, with his outrageous and eccentric family. Not only is it full of laughs, the show concentrates on family and how, even when they try our patience, they are what matter most at the end of the day.  Another huge recommendation.

Okay, so that's my line up.  Are we watching any of the same shows?  Got any shows to recommend?  I'm a TV junkie and I'll pretty much watch anything besides reality TV and competition shows.
