So mike surprised me a while back with news that we had reservations this friday for the Melting Pot. Unfortunately, we both forgot we're going out of town this weekend. but fortunately, we got the reservations moved to wednesday night, so we got to go 3 days early, yay!
It was frickin awesome. We had our own private table with curtains so it was total privacy away from everything else. We got the whatever its called meal where everything is included, and I got a mojito w/ dinner that was very good.
1st course. Feista fondue. Cheese w/ tomatos and jalapenos and yummy seasonings with bread, chips, veggies and apples.
2nd course. Salad. Mike got um... the chef salad I think? and IIII got the awesome strawberry almond salad. It was spinach, strawberries, almonds, feta cheese and some other stuff in a balsamic vinagrette and it was SO awesome.
3rd course. Main food. The thing we ordered came with all of the following (LOTS of food, jeez), marinated pork, sesame beef, chicken, shimp, veggie ravioli and these big steak medallion things. Then on the side of all that was broccoli, potatoes, mushrooms (We didnt eat thos) squash, and like 12 different sauces.
You cook your own food and its so cool!
4. DESSERT! we got the coconut/rum chocolate fondue, and they flambay (or whatever) it with rum and cinnamon and its so cool. We had that with banana, pinapple, strawberries, pound cake, brownies, coconut marshmellows, chocolate marshmellows, and cheesecake. OYE!
We also had drinks w/ dessert, I had a ... crap I forgot what its called, its kalua, baileys and coffee basically, and mike had a creme de menthe frozen drink pretty much like a grasshopper.
To anyone who hasn't been to the melting pot. Its awesome, its really fun and different (especially if you get your own private table with curtains and a very cool and attentive waiter!!) and its also WAY espensive lol. a once in a very long while event, but so worth the money.
