im so sick and tired of people being so defensive...i mean what is it just today? does today have "be defensive and jump down people's throats, try to hurt as many as you can" written on everyone's calender but mine? what did i not get the memo??? grr...
You claim that I’m a hypocrite,
For believing as I do.
You say that I’m an “ignorant [wretch]”
I guess that’s probably true.
You hate everything I stand for
My God, my country, state, and school.
You’re constantly putting me in my place
The popular place of a fool
You seem to think that I don’t care
About this world where we both reside
You don’t see that it’s shape kills me
Like being caught in a bad rip tide
You say I think that I’m better
Than anyone different than me
You don’t know the depression
That I hide so people won’t see.
You seem to want to hurt me
And you’ve done a pretty good job
You think I ought to “burn the witch?”
Or just deliver myself to the mob?
You bring me down at every chance,
Saying that I’m never right.
You don’t understand that I love you
And I’ll never give up this fight.
