first, i would like to report that yahoo messenger makes my computer crash. yesterday and today, i had to completely uninstall and then reinstall yahoo messenger in order to get it to open w/o crashing my computer. yeah, it's working for now... but i don't want to have to keep reinstalling yahoo messenger! so... any of my more techie people have any ideas? i scanned for malware and viruses. nothing is coming up. not that i would know if there's something slipping by. i'm very non-techie.

also, and i cannot say this more clearly, BEING FAT IS TOTALLY NOT UNHEALTHY! i keep saying it. largely b/c society keeps shoving it down our throats that you can't possibly be fat and also be healthy. and they go so far as to say that though you may not be unhealthy now, it can't possibly last. if you are fat, you will surely die of fatness. WELL FUCK OFF SOCIETAL HEALTH TROLLS! b/c it's just not true. from one of the most comprehensive studies done on the subject (via junkfoodscience):

"In a nutshell, the data showed that no higher measurement of body shape or size, or body composition, is predictive of higher risks of dying from all causes, compared to people with "healthy" numbers and model figures. The data also found that NONE of the 21 diseases popularly attributed to obesity - those "obesity-related" diseases, including: cardiovascular disease, cancers (colon cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, kidney cancer, or pancreatic cancer) and diabetes or kidney disease - are actually associated with excess deaths at any BMI category, including obese."

and from another study found on the same blog:

"Among the older women, BMI was inversely associated with mortality. The highest risk for death was among lean women with low BMIs. Fat women of all sizes were associated with lower risks. The most “obese” women with the highest BMIs had a 23% lower risk for mortality compared to “normal” weight women. There was no correlation between waist circumference or waist-hip ratios and the women’s risk for death, although all of the larger sizes had lower risks than thin women."

did you read that concern trolls? bmi was inversely associated w/mortality. IN-VERSE-LY. that means, for those of you who might not understand this concept (coughmediacough) that the fatter you are, the longer you live. so suck it up society. just admit that you don't fucking care about the health of fat people... you just care about how we look. and frankly, you can fuck off about that too.

body image, computer woes
