i'm all over the fatosphere today baby!!! or should i say... the sphereosphere? bwahahahahaaa! (i love that btw...) there's a nifty post up over at lardy cake about sizes and how nobody really knows what size looks like what. it's timely for me as only yesterday i was approached by a young lady while shopping in target. she liked my shirt, which i got at torrid. (which is a fat girl shop for anyone who doesn't know) went something like this:
her: i looooooooove that shirt it's soooooooo cool... where'd you get it
me: well i got it at torrid. but i don't know if you could find one to fit you as it's a fat girl shop
her: but you're not fat at all
me: well torrid starts at size 12/14... so you have to be 'plus sized' to shop there
her: but you aren't a size 12/14
me: actually i'm a size 18
her: no you can't be *looks astounded*
me: actually i am
her: oh... *looks really confused* um... well you look great *wanders off still looking very confused*
sometimes i wish i could wear a sign saying
this is what fat looks like people... see?! i am fat!
