How did the Pats win that game?
If you saw the game yesterday you were witness to one of the reasons why the Pats are such a successful team. We dont make stupid mistakes and we play to win. IMO the Patriots had no right winning that game but the Chargers just did not play at a championship level. Sure they had the talent to win but they just could not put it all together. They made a few bone headed plays that no championship caliber team should make.
ie.
Pats on 4th down fail to make it, but the Chargers get a 15 yard penalty that gives us a first down.
Challenging a call that was obviously called right and therefore giving up a time-out that could have helped them get inside better FG range at the end.
Making a game ending interception and NOT falling immediately to the ground with the ball and protecting it, thus allowing the pats to strip it and go on with the drive.
To top things off, Brady played a very poor game. Passes off target, three interceptions. Not the kind of performance we expect from him in a game like this. But he did pull it together when we needed him to.
When it all comes down to it thou... a win is a win. Woot! Now to go and ruin Peyton Manning again, maybe this time we can cause him to have a nervous breakdown on the field.
