Day Two
We woke up and headed to the Magic Kingdom, we had decided we wouldn't' get up early except for one day, we were on vacation and wanted to be able to sleep. Overall, I think it was a better plan and we were less worn out.
After the night before, we needed a good bus experience and we really got one! Our bus driver was an older gentleman who was hilarious! We did a few sing-alongs and he made fun of Ohio. The best part was when he was singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." When he got to the home team line, he said Yankees, and the entire bus booed. He then pulled the bus over and asked if we still wanted to boo the Yankees after that. It was great. A driver having a great attitude made Mike look like an idiot!
The first day at Magic Kingdom is always fun! We took pictures and headed straight to Tommorrowland. This is where things get a little fuzzy on what we did first, I am pretty sure it was the TTA, our first time of many that day! We headed to Buzz Lightyear where I basically kicked Jason's ass. I repeated the severe ass kicking every time we rode it!
We went over to Phillermagic, which is now my favorite 3D movie at Disney. The 3D is very good quality, the story is fun, and all of the best Disney music is included!! We had lunch and saw the first occurrence of a odd event. Every time (well except one) Jason and I ordered the EXACT same lunch. After lunch we went on Winnie the Pooh and Snow White. Snow White may have been the most adorable experience while at Disney. We were in the car by ourselves, and Jason was making cute comments and waving at the dwarfs. I knew there were reasons I love him! My favorite was "Don't eat it Snow White!"
After that we headed to Space Mountain (we had gotten a FastPass earlier). I don't care what other people say, Space Mountain is an AWESOME roller coaster, I love that you can't see it at all. I was in the middle and Jason was in the back.
Then we were stuck in the arcade at the bottom for about an hour and a half. While we were on the ride, the skies opened up. We thought that it was a normal Florida thunderstorm, but it wasn't. After 90 minutes of pinball and motorcycle racing, we went out and got drenched. The worst part however was the ground. The water literally went up to our ankles. The drainage was not good at all in Tommorrowland, well I actually think they wait for the rain to die down because the second it did all the water was gone! We sloshed through the rain and then rode the TTA 3 times! It was (relatively) dry.
The rain let up a little and we walked over to Carousel of Progress (a great place to dry off and get water out of your shoes). That ride is SO cheesy, but it is kinda cool! I felt bad because there was a little boy crying, and his older sister was trying to calm him down, without positive results. She was trying SO hard and started crying at one point. It was very sad to watch. Other people in our theater even tried to help her out.
The rain let up a little more, so we headed over to Splash Mountain and got a FastPass. We rode Pirates and I loved the new parts! The Davy Jones effect was so neat! I love how they added Barbossa and Jack Sparrow. After the ride, we went into the store and I saw a cute bead necklace with a skill crossed wit \h swords. Jason bought it for my anniversary gift and I love it!
We went back to Splash Mountain and the FastPass line was huge and it looked like the rain was going to start again so we turned around. We browsed through the stores on Main Street and I wanted to buy everything I saw! We then had dinner at the Crystal Palace. While we had been shopping it began to pour again and the thunder and lightning got bad. We were right by the door and a lightning bolt struck really close, so Jason grabbed me close to him to cover my ears. Unfortunately, doing so, he knocked out my contact and we spent about 5 minutes searching. luckily we found it and soon went in the restaurant.
It was just ok. It was a basic buffet and the food was good, but nothing special. We got to see the Winnie the Pooh characters and got pictures!
It was still rainging so we just went back to the hotel!
