Came back from Corbin, KY Monday night, after spending the whole weekend there. Left on Friday morning at 4am and rode 580 miles to Corbin. Checked in to the hotel and then hung out with some people from ST.N. Saturday morning got up early to meet at the Waffle House for breakfast and then rode over to the parking lot by the waterfall to meet everyone. We then split up into groups and went riding on some of the best roads I've seen. After coming back we ate dinner and then hung out outside the hotel.
Sunday we did more riding, and by the time we got back there was a tornado/severe thunderstorm/hail warning pretty close to us. We put the bikes under the overhang at the hotel to hide them from hail.
Monday morning headed back home using a different route to avoid the thunderstorms - it worked through most of WV, but then there was lots of rain anyway :( . I-79 through WV is a very nice road BTW, few cars, speed limit 70 mph, and sweepers through the mountains. It's kinda fun at about 100 mph :)
The next trip is in 2.5 weeks, to Eureka Springs, AR (1100 miles one way). Hopefully it'll be as much fun as this one was!
