This was really wonderful to read, anon. I adore this picture of Lois, trying hard to make this wacky new life work, and not quite there yet. I love this Ianto, showing her the secret room and the whole, "this is why we keep doing this, it's not all crap" idea. I love love love the secret room in general. :D I love the Potteresque pics and the air from Venus, and I love so much the idea, however AU it ends up being (very AU? a little AU?) of these two teaming up and becoming friends.

Thank you so much for writing this for me. I absolutely love it, and I meant it when I said it was the best gift I received this year. (And since it's fic, I get to share it with everyone!)

:D Your comment made me so, so happy. I'm really glad you liked it. When I first got your name, I was like, "Ohgod, how am I going to write something she likes? I don't even read AU!" Then I looked at your work and remembered you'd written To Do List, which was the first AU I ever read, so I felt better. Then I read Wonderland to get an idea of what you like, and oh my god why have I never read AU before? It was SO GOOD. :D I had to write something that might possibly do it justice, and because you made me love Lois a lot, I wanted to use her. Thus, this fic was born!

Oh, wow, this is so wonderful! Lois! I love her. And Ianto, all in his element here. It's great. How much do I love that Jack created the room, and showed it to Ianto? (A whole lot.) I love, love, love stories about the beautiful stuff they get to experience, and this was superb. I love this fest; I feel like I got everyone else's presents today, too!

I actually love what this says about Jack ultimately, and, yknow, Jack's Torchwood, in a way. That it can be beautiful and gentle and hopeful amidst all the chaos and destruction. Lovely moment, way awesome gadgets and aw, for once I'm actually thinking 'too bad we won't see something like this on the show'. So, quite well done, enjoyed it.
