Last time… Although classed as free for killing Lee in self-defence, Dane still felt tremendous guilt. He ended up getting into a lot of trouble stealing people’s car etc. However thanks to mum Jessica’s intervention and cool, vampire councillor Oliver’s helping hand, who Dane quickly began a friendship with. Back to normal Dane righted his wrongs and relieved him of any guilt. In the end we saw him grow into a good-looking, awesome young adult who is now also extremely ambitious and ready for a life of fame and fortune.

DANE’S POV

Life was going good as a young adult…

No more restrictions etc etc. just me,  my family and my guitar and the big, wide world.

I had dreams yes, and I hoped one day my old Bridgeport friends would actually come and we would make it big. But now it was time to go clubbing.

Practice your pickup lines, have a quick groom, and it was ready, set, go!

Have a drink or two… or three and then some more.

And dance from day…

Until night.

And chat up some ladies.

And then another.

Have a quick, fun, little snog.

A loving embrace.

And have another snog… with another girl.

To say the other girl wasn’t impressed is to say the least. But like I said before, it is all supposed to be fun. Or that’s what I thought anyways.

It was all fuelled by alcohol and slightest bit of attraction. And I loved every single moment of it.

Although perhaps I was a bit too drunk, I mean I did go skinny-dipping.

But in the end this was the life for me.

…Well, for now anyways.

SKYE’S POV

Life was great.

I missed my old life and my best friend Miles back at Bridgeport. But at SV, I’ve got a new clique of friends, good friends in fact. And there is Aidan, supposed bad boy, but to me the love of my life. I mean we had been going out for two months.

“Mum, can I go out.” I smiled politely to my mum, with a leap in my step.

“Yes sure, after your breakfast.” My mum beamed back, “Who is it Skye?” she added asking me.

“It’s ehm… Aidan.” I murmured almost silently and awkwardly, worried at her reaction.

“You know his father, brothers and sisters are criminals. And his mum is a raging alcoholic. And Dane has told me you know.” she stated

“Urgh” I groaned to myself. This was going to be a perfect day. I was going to make it official.

“But mum, he’s been around a lot and he’s alright.” I pleaded to her.

“Oh fair enough, okay. Be careful though. And remember to be back before Dane’s graduation party, to get ready to go to the city hall.”

“Yes!”

And so I quickly prepared myself and went off their humble abode, or rather small shack to be honest.

“Haha, oh your Aidan’s new girlfriend then aren’t you?” his mum questioned me, quite obviously drunk.

“Oh hi, Skye. I’m sorry about my mum.” he chirped happily.

“It’s aright… have I caught you at the wrong time.” I said, staring at him in his underwear.

“No it’s okay.”

And so we had a quick chat before I carefully explained my plans.

“Sure, I’ll be at the City Hall by 2pm, I swear.” he promised me.

“See you there then” I gazed into his eyes lovingly.

“I guess I will.” He focused upon me.

And so it was time for Dane’s graduation thingy.

Behind me was him in his robes, with my very proud mum and brother behind him.

During the party, I quickly snuck out as he gave me a call.

“I’m sorry I can’t make it.”

To be honest I was heartbroken, but I’m sure he would have his reasons.

My attention was then diverted, to one of the many majestic creatures that roamed around the town.

I ran towards it, and looked at the horse so free and happy. If only life was always like that.

My focus was quickly brought back to my brother, as he threw, his award up high.

My mum was so proud, my brother was so happy…

And I felt so guilty. Damn it, I had missed it.

“I’m so sorry Dane.” I apologised to my brother.

“Oh it’s okay, I forgive you. I’m just glad I don’t have to worry about school again. I mean it was pretty shit.” My brother said cheering me up.

“I’m just wondering though, why?” he questioned me.

“It was Aidan he called.” I replied.

“But you he’s trouble.”

“No he’s not.”

“Please Skye, listen to me…”

“No, I won’t”

So taking inspiration from the wild horse I ran, so I can be free and content.

“Please, come on Aidan, pick up!” I shouted. This was the last call.

I was about to give in when…

“Skye, please wait.”

“I’m sorry… my dad needed some help, so I had to drop things.”

“Oh Aidan.” I said joyfully.

“It’s alright, I understand.” I said, ready to restart my plans.

"I know we’ve done this before, but I want to make it official.

And so I kissed him.

“So do you want to make this thing official, boyfriend and girlfriend.” I asked him, hoping he would say yes.

“Erm… sure of course, Skye.”

“Great then, this can be our first proper date then.” I squealed excitedly.

And so we sat on the beach…

Me and Aidan…

Looking at the sea and the stars.

Together.

ISAAC’S POV

I well… to be honest life was pretty shit. It’s shit to be a teenager. Everything is just shit.

I

I was just waiting for time to bide, and preparing myself to be a master criminal. I truly only had 5 friends of sorts, my mum, brother, sister and two dogs, Dakota and Bella.

But I guess there was art. It was my passion, everywhere brushstroke…

“You really should take better care of Bella.” My mum interrupted my concentration on art.

“Mum, it’s now my fault she loves my seat, it is pretty comfy.”

Despite interruptions, I do quite like my family. And there is art and my ambitions.

To be a master criminal, I had to train hard. First of all physically, with the help of my brother’s training.

“Right, Zac you can do it okay.” he shouted.

“Remember work those muscles.” he continued.

“No need to fricken’ shout so loud.” I shouted back.

I have to admit though his training did help, pushing me to my limits.

But I also had to train my mind mentally and logically.

This was by reading books constantly and playing chess. But there was a much easier way that I had been thinking of for a while: vampirism. And this was the day I would bring my plans to fruition.

Step 1: Phone the vampire you know.

“Hello, Mr. Montgomery, Dane is in a bit of bother but you know what he is like, so I might need your help.”

Step 2: Invite the vamp in.

“Hello there Mr. Montgomery.”

“It’s Oliver, or Olly for shot, Isaac. Now what seems to be the trouble.”

Step 3: Tell the truth, chat and then ask to be a vampire.

“So…”

“Well, first of all, Dane’s not in trouble and secondly, I want to be a vampire.” I admitted.

“Well…” I could tell he was unsure on how to go with his response.

“No Isaac.” his face was serious, and I could tell he was shifting nervously.

“Why?” I asked him.

“Well, you are too young for starters. Then there is the fact it’s more of a punishment than a gift, you turn bloodthirsty and takes many years to control if you even can. And there is the fact if I bite you, I will kill innocent people, and I don’t want to be a rampaging, murderous monster again. When I told Dane I killed a few. I killed a few hundred.” he told me, as serious as before.

“But that’s awesome!” I exclaimed.

“No it’s not, I promise.” he disagreed.

“Oh… okay…”

“Right, I will not tell Dane about this okay Isaac. If you promise to forget any of this business- this chat did not happen. Now promise me.” He practically ordered me.

Back to the gym it was then.

Maybe I would just have to do things the long way.

DANE’S POV

Although my mum said for me to get a job in music, I was content for now just to simply busk for money.

I could feel the beats come out the guitar, as I gently strummed the strings.

Although I do admit, I took little glimpses at the case and saw the coppers flying in. Not literally of course.

The next day, I could feel the breeze roll in through the balcony doors and windows. Today was a fresh day. My hope was slowly fading for me and my friends’ plan to come true. This was the last day before I went and did it myself.

I quickly heard my sister briskly walk in.

“Ah this is awkward…” I heard her murmur.

“Right then, what is it?” I asked her.

“Someone downstairs for you. I would say it’s quite important too.”

“Okay” I said, quickly getting back onto my feet.

“I would get ready first though.” she then advised me.

“Oh hello guys”

“Hello Dane, it’s been shit flights but we’ve got lots to talk about mate.”
