As I type....
The boys have been having prolonged cough for more than 2 weeks already. Been referred by their GP to KKH for further consultation.
Ant is with them at KKH now. Just did the blood test and soon will perform the X-ray as well. Kegan cried for a while after the blood test while Ian wail so loudly when I am on the phone with him.... My poor babies.
Now must wait for the results and see how it is.
Edit : Thanks for your concern. The results is that both of them are suffering from bronchitis. And the blood test itself show that their red blood cell is one point below average. Could be a case of suspected thalassemia or iron deficiency which causes it. Will have to run another blood test in the future to determine. So for now, they are on antibiotics to clear the bronchitis.
As for our family history, we do not have thalassemia history but then again, we did not do the blood test so cannot be one hundred percent sure. Only way to tell is to do the blood test.
