I'm glad you liked Eames' parents. I was going for realistic dynamics. And Arthur's too. I hope you picked up on how they aren't bad people, just not great parents? Anyway, the breakfast club is Arthur's family now.
As for Ari/Saito...This pairing strangely captivated me. And once again, I went for realistic. Since we know Dom and Mal end up together, and we hope Arthur and Eames stay together forever, I didn't want a third happily-ever-after. I put her with Robert so they can eventually breakup...that sounds terrible, I know. HOpefully you get what I'm talking about though. Anyway, I have inklings for a Rom/Com sequeal about Ari and Saito falling in love in their mid-thirties or something. Both too emotionally stunted/wounded to realize their best friend is their soul mate. One of those "Just friends" situations where one of them suddenly sees the other as a sexual being after all this time and things get whacky. Very "When Harry Met Sally" I guess. lol
I know what you mean about the dark parts too. I ordinarily stay away from all dark fics. But I couldn't refuse the oppurtunity to make Dom the princess and Mal the criminal while Arthur was Eames' basketcase. heehee :P
