On January 25, 2006 I witnessed one of those events that a rider hopes never to see. I saw an accident that resulted in a fatality.
I have been trying to decide how to approach this post since it happened. As of right now, I'm still not sure.

Up to that point it had been excellent. I mainly took videos that day. The last one of the day (MVI_0071.AVI in the 03 folder, if it's still on your laptop, I haven't put anything online from my trip yet) was about a minute before Kevin got hit. I still had my camera in hand when it happened.
You can do what you like with the video of you drag racing (with an uber lead ;) )..
Still not sure what to say about that day. Never seen an accident like that. Nor someone die infront of me. I've seen dead people before in bad cicumstances, but in less traumatic events than this. One thing it has done is hammered in to my head how safe I'm gonna have to be when I do get a bike. For a start, I'll be armored to the max, as I'm sure it saved Kevin from a lot worse. Not to mention making sure I'm riding within my ability and safely where myself and others are concerned.
Hope he makes a good recovery. Hope you too can deal with and learn from the situation.
It was hard to sleep that night....
