My, isn't the moonlight terrible?

So, K had a dream last night in which we were invited to a $225/plate fundraiser at which Michael Weatherly was to be the entertainment. He was going to sing and do scenes from Our Town. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the play is full of Gibbses. Of course, around here, we don't believe in coincidences. *grin*

I'd pay $225 to see that.

While K was thus occupied, I was wide awake. Don't know what my damage is. I've been very wakeful of late. I finally gave up trying to sleep around 3am. Instead, I caught up on reading ncis_ficathon submissions. There have been some really impressive stories from authors I hadn't read before. Of course, there were some stories I didn't read at all because I am unable to get over my inability to read Gibbs with anyone other than DiNozzo and vice-versa... unless we write it and it takes place in an au or in the misty past. But I was really impressed with the overall quality of what I read. It gives me hope for the future of fic in this fandom.

Now, I'm tired. I want to go home to bed. I'm hormonal. I have a sore throat. And I forgot my coffee in the car. On the up-side, I'm wearing my new hoodie with a long-sleeved dark red t-shirt, black jeans, and my cherry docs.

Not much coherent to say about Shalom. My co-worker who watches NCIS called me this morning and asked if that was me she heard squealing last night over all the Gibbs/DiNozzo love. She claims not to see it most of the time, but she felt that, last night, it was writ large. There were definitely some wonderful moments between my OTP. And if Ziva continues like this, I'll really like her this season. I loved McGee in Senior Field Agent mode. And Abby with the pictures of Gibbs up in the lab. And the annoying new Probie. And Gibbs telling Sheppard he didn't remember Bosnia, then leaving the picture for her. Once again, Gibss Is Playing Her and doing a masterful job. Oh, and about that hot tub? Not saying a word.

A couple of weeks ago I was wondering if it was canon that everyone knew Ari was Ziva's half-brother. The consensus among Ziva fans was that it was part of the secret she had with Gibbs. Based on last night, everyone at the FBI and Mossad knows...which means it's in the public domain. That puts a twist on some WIPs of ours. In a good way.

Anyway, I'm glad that the premier is over with so we can get on with what promises to be a really intriguing season. I haven't watched last night's House, The Unit, or L&O:CI yet. Very happy about Criminal Minds and CSI:NY starting up again tonight!

*yawn*
