So much work. Stay focused. This IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN TRAINING FOR. DON'T FUCK IT UP.
Notes from Bear's music-
- thinks of parts of the orchestra in terms of function...pads (strings brass), expressive (winds, solo strings), percussive (strings, brass, PERC). When synthesizing music, don't use synth strings ONLY when you can also use a "real" synth sound of a similar function. Makes music sound more real, more interesting, just better.
Example of typical pad Layering (from 212-1m09)
- String pads (spliced out into groups with hi quality samples)
- Brass pads
- SYNTHS (all seperate patches)
- Synth Humm
- PC Cathedral Pad
- PC Sonar Violin
- Choir Stack
- Low Humm
- Slo Mo
- Orch Tone 2
