Giles reached for her hand again, feeling the tension in her as he threaded his fingers through hers, pressing carefully, "She has a point, Jenny."

She dropped his hand, telling him firmly, "Stay outta this, England."

He was taken aback slightly at the softly-uttered command, though he wasn't altogether surprised by it. Her stubbornness often dominated her sense of rationale at a time like this, so he didn't take offense.

Jenny then turned her attention back to Vivian. "Look," she began, in a tone that told him she was attempting to keep a lid on her exasperation. "I really appreciate your concern, Vivian, but... I'm really okay. I want to be here for her, I want to help her. Whatever is happening to her right now, I wanna be the one to fix it."

Vivian tipped her head, her smile kind and voice light, though her firmness on the subject never wavered. "All the same, my dear... I'd feel much more comfortable in this situation if you were to keep your distance." Then, she nodded to him. "And I'm certain your husband would agree."

Giles gave a one-shouldered shrug, taking a step forward. "Well, I--"

He met Jenny's blazing eyes and scathing look and then quickly retreated one step, slipping his hands into his jeans pockets. "I believe I will remain silent on the matter, as I'd..." he averted his gaze, finishing quietly, "prefer to keep my genitalia intact."
