PROPHETIC DREAMS ARE NOT GOOD THINGS JENNY, GO GO GO. Seriously for a few comments there I was like GAHHHHHH GO GO ACTION JENNY, DO A SPELL AND FIX THINGS, GO GO GO. But then adorbs bb!Giles walked on and I was like d'awwwwwwww XD

TARAAAAAAAAAAA :'( GODDAMN JOSS KILLING WOMEN AND LESBIANS ABOUND Even though I was not the biggest Willow fan at this point it's still so painful watching her try to bring Tara back :'(

Total nerd, but I loved Vivian hugging Jenny <3 I THINK THEY WOULD HAVE A FANTASTIC RELATIONSHIP, all respect and teacher-student and full of witchy awesome. But whatevs.

AND OMG THE BOOKS. THE BOOKS THE BOOKS THE BOOKS THE BOOKS THE BOOKS. I always loved how Willow literally absorbed all that power from the books, with that fantastic imagery of the words streaming up her skin - and, from Giles' POV, it's so powerful, like she's using her power to steal the knowledge that he reveres, and he's worked so hard to gather and protect, and the way she does it is so reckless and...YEAHH /tangent BASICALLY I LOVE SEEING THIS FROM JENNY/GILES (LOL, THE GILES') POV.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG GILES BEING ALL WORRIED ABOUT BUFFY :'( SHE'LL BE OK I PROMISE

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGSKINLESS WARREN. OK I know it's cold but here, when Warren's going all 'whine whine you'll lose your friends you're good not evil blah blah blah' I was actually on Willow's side, sort of. Or at least against Warren. Because I liked that Willow literally WAS evil at this point, and the whole 'going evil trying to destroy the world' thing got so brushed over in season 7, and I just didn't like how Warren was being used to tell the audience 'she's not evil really she's still ~our Willow~'...yeah. IDEK, I HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS ARC.

I am in love with Jenny in this chapter though (even more than usual, which is kind of a lot, lol) - she's so so SO fierce, doing what needs to be done and not slowing down, and totally preparing herself for ~battle~ XD SHE IS MY FAVOURITE EVER.

AND OMGGGGGG GILES TRYING TO STOP HER GOING, SO SO GILES. Like, he knows someone has to do something, but he always wants so badly for it not to affect the people he loves :')

BUT THEY ARE A UNITED FORCE, OMG I LOVE THESE TWO SO FREAKING MUCH :') I JUST KNEW HE WAS GONNA GO WITH HER (I mean obviously because he's there in the ep but still) THEY CAN NEVER BE APART :')

HEEEEE! IT'S TIME IT'S TIME IT'S TIME!!! I FINALLY get to write this epic-ass showdown. I'm surprised I haven't just exploded from pure glee yet, LOL.

ANYWAY - I'm SO happy you enjoyed this little 'lead-in' chapter. I always wondered how things happened on Giles' side in canon -- how he became involved with the Coven in the first place. (My take on it? He was totally nailing one of the witches. Because, let's face it -- after he lost Jenny, he became kind of a slut. :P)

I'm actually really looking forward to utilizing Vivian a little more -- I really do want to build on her relationship with Jenny. Even Jenny needs someone to look up to and learn from. :)

I never thought of it that way before! You are DEEP, girl! But that makes so much sense, and it actually adds more meaning to the Giles/Willow showdown in canon. I LOVE IT. Plus, I really loved the way they shot that part anyway, with her stealing the stuff from the books -- it just looked super cool.

I totally agree with you on the whole Warren thing -- I was actually on Willow's side of that whole thing too, even though she was eeeeeeeevil. Warren basically just always bugged the shit out of me, so it gave me a morbid sense of satisfaction to watch her rip him apart -- literally, LOL.
