Fortune Teller

Synopsis: Jenny utilizes the Coven to learn more about her past. To do so, she must call upon Angel for help, and together they go into his memories and revisit when he was cursed with a soul. In the process, Jenny learns a lot more than she bargained for.

AND, LIKE I SAID, THIS IS LIKE A BOOK UNTO ITSELF. IT IS GORGEOUS, IT IS SOSOSOSOSOSO FREAKING GORGEOUS.

Angel looked over at her. "Do you have any idea what that feels like, to have someone in your grasp who knows you better than you know yourself?"
Jenny nodded, meeting his eyes. "Yes. I do."
He searched her eyes. "And you lost him?"
"No." Staring at the scene still taking place in front of her, Jenny smiled just slightly. "I married him."

GOD, YES. THIS. THIS RIGHT HERE, THIS IS WHAT I MEAN ABOUT JENNY/ANGEL AND JENNY/GILES, EXCEPT IN BEAUTIFUL PROSE FORM. ASDFGHJKL;

I love love love Vivian reassuring Giles :P And I actually so love that he STILL needs reassuring even by this point - he's just so insecure and adorable <3

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH DARLA YOU ARE HEARTBREAKINGLY AND DELIGHTFULLY EVIL. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. I could never bring myself to really hate Darla though, not sure why. BUT THIS IS SO Darla, so sadistic and just plain cruel. :'( POOR ANGELUS. (THAT SENTENCE WOULD NEVER EXIST ANYWHERE ELSE.)

AND ENYOS. HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK, ENYOS. I LOVE THIS, the whole idea that Angelus killed him for such personal reasons, it just makes his going after Jenny even more...GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHY ARE YOU SO AMAZINGGGGG. <3

OK SEE NOW I'M PICTURING TORTURED!VAMPIRE!JENNY. AND IT'S STILL HOT. Oh my gosh poor Serena though :(

AND OOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, HIM STAKING HER :'( I LITERALLY WELLED UP. HE DOESN'T WANT TO FAIL HER AGAIN. OMG. CRY FOREVER :'(

ALSO, (omg, another weird rant), I LOVE the sort of symmetry with canon here: the stuff about Enyos, and him going after Jenny, as well as this whole tragic love story - it's almost reminiscent of the tragic story that Jenny and Giles got in canon, but here it's like they were able to overcome the hardships and earn their happy ending, while Angel's still paying for his tragic story :'( OMGOSH YOUR AMAZINGNESS, YOUR ACTUALLY EPIC AMAZINGNESS. <3

OK, NOW CAN I RANT A BIT ABOUT HOW AMAZING THE END IS, COZ I KINDA HAVE TO. OK, GOOD.

THE IMAGES. The images of the white shirt and the blood, and the words on the skin, and the plaid fabric being torn - it's so blurred and unspecific but so so recognizable, I LOVE IT SO MUCH. The confirmation that she has a Seer's abilities. The 'sense of dread' she gets, and her frustration, and OMGGGG SHE IS SO GOING TO FEEL THE BURDEN OF THIS ONE, OMG SHE IS SO GONNA BLAME HERSELF :'(

AND THE LAST LINE. OMG, BREAK MY HEART WHY DON'T YOU. THAT LINE JUST STINGS WITH THIS SORT OF DETERMINATION AND ALMOST OPTIMISM, BUT ALSO THE INEVITABILITY AND OMG, THERE IS GONNA BE SO MUCH PAIN :'(

I love love love Vivian reassuring Giles :P And I actually so love that he STILL needs reassuring even by this point - he's just so insecure and adorable <3 Hehehe, thanks! I always thought, even if Giles and Jenny did go the distance, he would still have those adorable, dweeby moments of, 'OMG why is she even with me?' because he's so self-deprecating and Giles-y and that's why we love him and want him in our beds so bad.

I could never bring myself to hate Darla either! She was too BAMFy, I kinda loved her instead. And I've heard she's even more awesome on the Angel spin-off. But I'm glad you thought that was IC for her, because I had NO idea how to write Darla, lol.

OK SEE NOW I'M PICTURING TORTURED!VAMPIRE!JENNY. AND IT'S STILL HOT. It would have been SO AWESOME if Angel had turned Jenny into a vampire instead of just flat-out killing her. Think of how hot they would've been all soulless together! And then when they got their souls back, they could've been all angsty together -- she could've been back with Giles, he could've been back with Buffy, and then Buffy and Giles could've been all "LOL we're both dating vamps, WUT" and it would've been GLORIOUS. /tangent #87435

I almost watched those episodes again, because I was only remembering those tiny parts that I wanted to include, and then thought it might be better if I just describe them as I remember them rather than getting the full visual again, so it's more like a hazy dream.
