The Coven Synopsis: Jenny begins her association with the Coven in Westbury, discovering her 'Five Elements' as well as learning a couple new tricks. When she and Giles cast an inner eye on Sunnydale and find out what Willow's been up to, she becomes more determined than ever to stop her before she goes too far.

I cannot say enough how much I adored this chapter from start to finish. I know you said it was sort of a filler, but what a perfect filler it is!
As I've already mentioned previously, I really love how refreshing this chapter is as it begins. It's so nice to see the lighter side of the Giles/Jenny relationship. Relaxed G/J is so refreshing. :-) The funny part is that I'm a HUGE nut for smut and even I felt that would have taken away from the peacefulness of the whole opening scene of this chapter.
[Mental note: I think I may need to consider changing my name to smutnut for a little while *pondering*]
These two are just so amazingly precious together. They just ooze perfection, and as if you haven't heard it before, but the way you write them makes them even more perfect with each chapter. :-D
Hehehe...Giles playing the guitar on the terrace. Um...I would almost be embarrassed to admit the things I'd do just to wake up to that. *SWOON* (not that my drooling, snoring husband isn't sexy to wake up to, but the comparison between him and ASH playing Behind Blue Eyes on the guitar is, well... laughable. O_o)
Oh, and can I get a collective aaaawwwwwwwwwww... *stupid grin* at Giles prodding her if there was any 'news' :-) Hehe, one day, Giles, one day. If you keep on workin' it in all the right ways...bow chicka wow wow! Hehehe
You also totally had me hooked the entire time Jenny was at the Coven. I have to applaud your research. You have really done a fab job tying in the story with canon. The tapestry you are weaving with this little filler chapter is downright brilliant! I cannot wait to see where you go with the elementals and delving into Jenny's past. I can see this either going really, awesomely well, or really, awesomely bad. :-) But sometimes even bad leads to amazing (behold the genius that is Faithfully). So, either way, we're in for a real treat! XD
I cannot stress enough how excited I am about the setting up of the throwdown of epic proportions between BAMF!Jenny and CrackedOut!Willow. I was mentally fist pumping when Jenny snatched Willow out of Rack's place. LOL I'm such a nerd. I was totally watching the whole scene in my head thinking "hell yeah, Jenny! Show her who's boss!" Then again, knowing what lies ahead, I knew it would only be a verbal sparring match, and you did not disappoint. I was actually quite happy with where you took it and where you left it. And while I enjoyed it tremendously, I was a bit skeptical at first that you would go there. Bringing Jenny back in to the Sunnydale mix to stir things up a bit initially felt 'off', but after reading it, I'm extremely happy you did it because it really just sets up everything we're leading to even more.
I absolutely cannot wait for so many things now - learning Jenny's past, seeing her develop more powers within the Coven, seeing how you address Giles gaining powers from the Coven, the throwdown between Willow and ??? (The conspiracy theorist in me makes me skeptical for some reason, with all this build up, whether or not Jenny will be involved...sorry I'll shut my brain up one of these days.)
All-in-all, this is a fabulous chapter! I hope you get to write relaxed!G/J again soon! I really enjoyed it tremendously! :-D
Thanks again for a great read! It makes my work breaks enjoyable!

It's so nice to see the lighter side of the Giles/Jenny relationship. Thank you! And, like I mentioned in an above reply, it's really nice to be able to write that side of the relationship, though at the same time it's also a little challenging. LOL. I've gotten so used to the whole "OMG APOCALYPSE!" mentality that it's sometimes a little tough to switch gears. I do so love 'letting' them relax, though. ;)
[Mental note: I think I may need to consider changing my name to smutnut for a little while *pondering*] Okay, so tell me: how much would I have to pay you to get you to actually change one of your screen names to 'smutnut'?? :P
These two are just so amazingly precious together. They just ooze perfection, and as if you haven't heard it before, but the way you write them makes them even more perfect with each chapter. :-D Awwwwww, thank you so much! These two, just... gah. I can't even describe what they do to me, and what they have done to me since I started watching BtVS. Every scene they shared, no matter the overall 'tone' of it, always gave me butterflies. I'm always so excited to get to 'play' with them and expand the minuscule bit of them we were given in canon. :D
I cannot wait to see where you go with the elementals and delving into Jenny's past. I can see this either going really, awesomely well, or really, awesomely bad. :-) Hehehe, thank you! When I was researching Wicca, the whole 'people as elements' idea just popped into my head as more of a 'just for fun' kind of thought. I don't know how that train of thought even started, but I was reading about the five elements, and what they all symbolized, and then I just connected them to some of the characters, and... there it was. And I'm REALLY excited to get to dive into Jenny's past (and hope to someday soon dip back into Giles' past as well). Next chapter!! :D
Bringing Jenny back in to the Sunnydale mix to stir things up a bit initially felt 'off', but after reading it, I'm extremely happy you did it because it really just sets up everything we're leading to even more. Thank you for saying that! I have to admit, when I was first toying with the idea, I wasn't sure I could pull it off, because it did seem a little unusual to just insert Jenny back into Sunnydale for a brief moment and then pull her back. But, I kinda thought with what I'm trying to lead up to, that it would be a necessary step in getting there. I'm glad that came across. :)
(The conspiracy theorist in me makes me skeptical for some reason, with all this build up, whether or not Jenny will be involved...sorry I'll shut my brain up one of these days.) Hehehe! Oh no, Jenny will most definitely be involved. I'm so itching to write that big showdown.
Thank you again, so much! I'll be starting on the new chapter (which explores Jenny's and Angel/Angelus' pasts) tonight! :D

Also, I forgot to mention in above feedback that I COMPLETELY ADORED beyond belief the pseudo fight a.k.a. "verbal fencing". LOL I giggled audibly in the middle of reading next to my hubby. He thinks I'm crazy anyway... O.o
Hehehehehe :-D

I turned it into verbal fencing since it didn't seem like a great place to throw in some marital discord, lol. Glad you liked it!
