Thanks, Matthew! I'm still pretty floored by it myself -- so WOW indeed!
But hey -- I have a question you might be able to answer, considering you are academia-savvy these days. Do you know if UPenn's writing department has a reputation for being one way or another? Jeff McDaniel told me that he always thought of them as being very language poet focused, but I hadn't heard that before. Do you have any opinion on that, or have heard anything? I would love your thoughts!

Thanks for the feedback! The course they want me to teach in the Spring is intro course combining non-fiction and poetry. Hopefully that hybrid vision will make them more open to teaching non-tradition (to them) poetry.
But on the other side of the situation, I'm excited about being exposed to new poets & new types of poetry. I've been truly spoiled by NYC and the types of poets I've been exposed to at the BPC, Poets House, St. Marks, etc... But still, I'm sure there is a whole strata of poets whose work I'd never see in those environments, and to which I'll now be exposed! Can't wait!
