Have you played any of your beloved baseball lately?
Since I haven't had time in my schedule, it's been about a year since I've played. Seems like the guys on my baseball team have given up on me as the owner (laughs). I love highs school baseball though; this summer, to get into the spirit of it, I went to support Narita (the representative high school team of his hometown Chiba), and I reeeally wanted to play!
Chiba
On the first day of the Kokuritsu concerts, you wore a T-shirt with “I love Chiba♡” on it.
Since that's where I was born and bred, of course I love it! There's both sea and greenery. Every summer at the flowing pools at the beachside park at Inage, I'd be playing nonstop from dawn to dusk without even stopping to eat～.
Dance
Amongst the members, it's been said you're the one who's worst at memorising steps...
Singing while dancing is HARD to do at the same time, okay! I can do either one perfectly fine separately though. You're mistaken... you've been deceived by my 'mad skillz' (laughs).

Egg
When it comes to cooking, it's said your forte lies in egg dishes?
Recently I bought 'Taichi X Kentarou Manly Meals Cookbook'*. I've been saying “Ah, that looks tasty～, I wanna eat that～” for a while, but I've never once made anything from it (laughs). But my tamagoyaki is insanely good, y'know. It's the flavour passed down from my old man (a chef), so even when I make it, it's exceptionally delicious! The timing of when to turn off the heat is a delicate art.

Family
You told amusing anecdotes about your family during the MC talks in the concert, but any funny stories lately?
Maybe the time when my mom was drunk and she mistook the bidet in the toilet for the sink? (laughs) Apparently my family went to Okinawa recently. And they didn't tell me or even get me any souvenirs...! From time to time, when I'm too busy to visit I'll call my mom on a whim. So I was like, “So where are you now?” and she replied “O-ki-na-wa” (laughs).
Game
For games on variety shows, the one who always loses the first time around is...
Be it on variety shows or video games, I love games. If it's variety show games, I want to play Aiba Sugoroku* again. And you know that video game where you shred vegetables; I've never once lost at that!

Hie [pronounced “hee-ey”]
The way you say it in your solo in your new album is wrong!?
Have you heard that “yay!” is actually supposed to be “hie～!”? I said that in the MC talk during our concert though. Fine then, I know! Somewhere in the middle of the tour, maybe I'll say “hie～!” instead (laughs). Look forward to it!
Iimachigai ['slip of the tongue']
Instead of '東海’ ('Tokai'; Eastern Sea / a place name), you read it as 'tokai' (city)...
I messed up～. Like how I read '地酒' ('jisake'; local sake) as 'jiju', and '鍋奉行' ('nabebukyou'; person who cooks/serves hotpot) as'nabekboukou'? But all the same, I haven't been messing up lately; I've grown up (laughs). Ah, but I keep mistaking the 'chuu' in '和洋折衷' ('wayousecchuu'; a blend of Japanese and Western styles) for the 'chuu' in '中華' ('chuuka'; Chinese) though. I think it was probably (Sakurai) Sho-chan who pointed it out to me.
Johnny's
Who are you on good terms with amongst your juniors in Johnny's? Do you treat them for meals?
Once, during a meal after one of the concerts, Matsuzaki Yuusuke of M.A.D. missed the last train and said to me, “Aiba-san, I can't go home...”. So I was like, “No problem, crash at mine then” and he stayed over. It's always been like that, hasn't it? (On 'Music Lovers' [NTV], it was revealed that Aiba was acting cool and treating the members.) But only as long as my wallet allows, though (laughs).
Kekkon ['marriage']
When you were 24, you said “I wanna do that when I get bigger”...
Fufufu～, I was an idiot (laughs). Now at 27, do I have any aspirations to marriage? (Obviously,) “I wanna do that when I grow up” (laughs). Playing a game of catch-the-ball with your kids, taking walks in the park, that sort of thing. That's the sort of heartwarming married lifestyle people yearn for.
Love Rainbow
Tell us what you'd recommend about your new song!
The build up of the melody at the climax of the song , probably. I love how it feels like it's steadily speeding up. It's very pop-song like. Whether you listen to it or sing it, your spirits go up. It's something you'd want to sing at karaoke.
Matsumoto Jun
What is Matsumoto Jun to you?
People might think of him as a do-S*, but he's really kind. Though in concerts, he gets mad at you if you forget to change your costume. But it's all part of the fun (laughs).

What is Ninomiya Kazunari to you?
My baseball buddy and the one I've known longest. In our Junior days, when we used to go home together since we lived near each other, we always used to stop for ramen on the way home.

The guy who I can come back with after a meal after concerts, with an arm over his shoulder, spirits high, and go “I'm glad I'm in Arashi!” and cry with. Leader and I are on the same emotional wavelength.
Pants
'Aiba length' is now a national constituency. What are you picky about with regards to fashion?
What I'm particular about with my own clothes is probably the material and the size, I guess. I like comfortable clothes. I also wear Aiba-length pants normally. Lately, the number of Aiba-length pants in my closet are steadily catching up with the normal-length ones! Though for 'Mannequin 5' on 'Himitsu no Arashi-chan' (TBS), try as I might, I can't recall Aiba-length pants doing anything to help me get picked first... It's a very challenging corner, mentally .

Fufufu～(laughs). Me, trivia expert? Where did you hear that from? All right, let's do a quiz! “What are the top 3 delicacies of the world”? I'm the son of a chef, you know! Hold on... uhh, lemme think～. Caviar, shark's fin, foie gras, truffles (counts on his fingers). Huh? That's already 4～. For me, there are 4 top delicacies (laughs). I'll leave you to decide which are the top 3 respectively!
Risuzaru ['squirrel monkey']
Recently, we've heard your family is keeping a squirrel monkey. What's he like?
She's female... and can I say this? There's been two accidents already (laughs). Once when we first bought her and once when my mom said “she's grown up already” and brought her into the house. On the second time she didn't even deign to look over when called (laughs). I'd always wanted to keep a squirrel monkey ever since I first saw one in an anime. But there weren't any people keeping squirrel monkeys when I was a kid, and since I didn't know how to look after one, I gave up on it. Finally my dream came true and I got to keep one! On the day I got her, I spent the whole day with her; she was so cute! She's got black and brown fur around her mouth... She's extremely cute!
Sakurai Sho
What is Sakurai Sho to you?
Whether it's the tailor's or a restaurant, there's a a lot of overlap in the places we often go to. Of course, Sho-chan has a serious side to him, but he's the one I have fun with most out of all the members especially.
Tension
From the opening of your concert, it's at the max already. Does your tension go up easily?
It's not something I deliberately try to do, but I've always been easily excited since I was a kid. So during the concerts at the Kokuritsu this time, my tension will be at the max from the very start; I'll be like “I'm so excited!”. It's something Nino teased me about, saying “Let's see if you can keep that up right to the end”～(laughs).

Utanodedashi ['the start of singing']
There are a lot of times when you mistakenly sing other people's parts.
Ah～, there times when I do sing other people's parts and mess up～. Fufufu～ (laughs). It's part of my charm (laughs). I don't know why but it just ends up like, “imma sing this part!” (laughs).
Vacation
If you had a holiday, where would you want to go?
I've gathered a lot of information about places where I'm like, “someday I'd like to go there”. Within the country, I want to go to Hokkaido or Okinawa! The hot springs at Hokkaido are really nice. If it's overseas, I'd like to visit some world heritage sites. I want to try going to India.
Waraigoe ['laughter']
Aiba has a characteristic laugh!
It's my convulsive laughter, right～. People often notice my laugh. Like the restaurant owner or someone would be like “What's with that laughter!?” and then when they see me, they'd be like, “Ah, hello”. I'll be happy if people enjoy my laugh.
X'mas
Is it a disadvantage having your birthday on the same day as Christmas?
Even if I were to have a birthday party, everyone'd be busy and wouldn't be able to make it. And it's kinda sad that I only get one present. But one advantage is that I always get a proper birthday cake instead of Christmas cake thanks to my loving family～. Even if you take away all the Christmas decorations, we'd still have a birthday plate or something at least (laughs).
Yakiniku ['grilled meat']
Your favourite food is yakiniku!
My favourite food has never changed. Grilled meat; if it's eel, then fried. I have it quite a lot～. Even if it were “the golden age of yakiniku” 5 times a week, I'd be completely fine with it. It's been kinda like that lately～. I think it was 4 times in a week (laughs). Fufufufu～(laughs). The next day my stomach was still bloated and I couldn't move. The meat I like most is... beef ribs, of course.
Zoo
What's the most recent happening on 'Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen' (NTV)?
I haven't really had any near-suicidal happenings in the 'Masaki.com' corner where I make stuff for the animals to have more fun lately～. One of the more interesting location shoots was of moray eels. It's the first time I've seen them swimming like that; their ferocious teeth are amazing～. I'd probably cry if I met one of those while at the sea (laughs). Moray eels are seriously scary.
Wasn't Aiba's favourite food karaage (fried chicken)? And oh, Aiba, do 'happenings' have to be suicidal before they're worthy of mention?
And yay for Aiba's squirrel monkey; I was a kid who wanted to keep strange pets too, so I fully empathise!
I has questions! I feel like saying "今日の宿題は…"
(1) Does anyone know where to find the full scans/article of these three pictures? this picture?

My favourite food has never changed. Grilled meat; if it's eel, then fried. I have it quite a lot～. Even if it were “the golden age of yakiniku” 5 times a week, I'd be completely fine with it. It's been kinda like that lately～. I think it was 4 times in a week (laughs). Fufufufu～(laughs). The next day my stomach was still bloated and I couldn't move. The meat I like most is... beef ribs, of course.

I haven't really had any near-suicidal happenings in the 'Masaki.com' corner where I make stuff for the animals to have more fun lately～. One of the more interesting location shoots was of moray eels. It's the first time I've seen them swimming like that; their ferocious teeth are amazing～. I'd probably cry if I met one of those while at the sea (laughs). Moray eels are seriously scary.
Wasn't Aiba's favourite food karaage (fried chicken)? And oh, Aiba, do 'happenings' have to be suicidal before they're worthy of mention?
And yay for Aiba's squirrel monkey; I was a kid who wanted to keep strange pets too, so I fully empathise!
