[BGM 'Aozora no Shita, Kimi no Tonari']
Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Every Friday I respond to the messages received on this show.
First up is one from 'My hamster is Ushiwakamaru'-san.
"Oh-chan, good morning. I'm currently on the verge of becoming the mother in 'Freeter, Ie wo Kau' = It's tough thinking of what to cook every day. Every time I ask my husband and children what they want to eat, they respond with, "anything's fine" and I end up being stumped.
Satoshi-kun, what have you eaten this week? What do you want to eat? Please help out all the housewives of this world!"
Y'know, my mother was the same. But she's now beat the system. Just don't make anything.
"What do you want for dinner today?"
"Anything's fine." // "Anything's fine."
"Then I won't make anything. If 'anything' is fine, I'll make nothing. If you want to eat something, please name something."
From your husband and kids, both. They each have to say something. How's that? I think that's the best answer!
If it's 'anything', then you don't give them anything. Don't make anything! That's it!
Next is one from Nino-Apple-Lila-san.
"Satoshi-kun, good morning. I watch Arashi's DVDs almost every day. When I do, I want to listen to Arashi's voices, but my mother ends up singing loudly together with Arashi and I can't hear your voices at all. What should I do?"
That happens, doesn't it? Like when you hear a song and you end up humming to it, and then you totally miss hearing the good parts. That happens.
You just gotta say it. "Mum, I know what you sound like!" (laughs) "Next time, can we listen to Arashi sing?" It's better to tell her, right?
That, or you have to try singing louder than your mother for once. Mm. (laughs)
Your mother's like, "You are my soul! Soul!" ...She sings about that level, right? "...sugu soba ni aru..."
So go over her like, "YUZURE! NAI! YO!!"
Then be like, "See, mom, this is how I usually feel!"
Try doing that! (laughs)
Next, one from Kanadon-san.
"Ohno-san, good morning. I discovered something at my grandma's house. It was mixed in amongst the New Year cards that my grandma carefully kept and treasured. The sender was 'Abiko Motoo'-san. In other words, it was from
Fujiko A. Fujio-Sensei, the father of 'Kaibutsu-kun'. That New Year card was written in 1951. It seems my grandma knew Abiko-sensei during the war, when they were in elementary school. Apparently he was always drawing pictures even back then. That postcard was, naturally, written by brush, when he was about 17 years old. I'll be sure to store and treasure it carefully. This is just a photo but I wanted to share it with you."
Oh wow! They really did send it, wow!
It's written so beautifully. That's writing you wouldn't have expected from a 17-year-old. From
Showa 26 (1951). Man, that's really precious. So that was the Year of the Rabbit. There's a picture of a rabbit. It's drawn in his style. And then he's written '1951' too.
Man, actually, I got a New Year card from him this year, too.
Since I told him, (in the style of
their New Year card CM) send New Year's cards please!♪♪
...I received one! It's a real treasure. I got a lot of treasures from him, actually.
And then as for me... After I drew that picture of Kaibutsu-kun, I asked Sensei to draw Kaibutsu-kun for me. That's a real treasure. I have so many.
Like, looking back on the year, once things have calmed down... There's really a wealth of treasures there. I'm going to have a drink and enjoy looking at them.
[BGM 'season']
Well, if I ever have the chance to work with Sensei again, I'd love to. Yeah.
Next, one from Emu-san.
"Everything's going terribly. I'm sure I'll never find a place where I belong. My parents have never once respected my views. They dote on their youngest child, always siding with and fawning over my younger sister. They just want me to produce good results, whether at school or in cram school. Nobody recognises my efforts, no matter how hard I try. I love Satoshi-kun of Arashi. What should I do? I don't know any more."
I see.
It'll be okay. (in a deep voice) I'm here.
Next, from Shiho-san, High School 2nd Year.
"Satoshi-kun, I hate going on the packed train every morning. I hate crowds. Please give me power."
I see.
Shiho-san. (in a deep voice) I hate that, too.
And so with that, the weekly Friday messages have been answered. I'll be awaiting your mail. The address is arashi@fmyokohama.co.jp. I'll be waiting for you to send me lots of messages.
Also, today is the last day for Kakutai-san of this studio. Thanks for your hard work!
As for me, I'll be doing a drama, so like, to help me study acting, please recommend some films for me to watch! Thank you very much!
So to all you listeners, see you next week; this was Ohno Satoshi!
