thumbs up, thumbs down

Life has slowly started to get back to normal, and I find myself falling into my old routines. Which has also put me in a huge funk where I'm getting tired of everything fast. Can't I just be satisfied for 2 seconds?

Ellen and I ventured down to Mexican Village in Detroit for dinner on Friday night. We had a wonderful adventure finding the place, had the best margarita ever and chatted. Afterwards, we went to visit my friend Emma at Gus O'Conners in Novi. Chris met us up there and we drank for free, talked about advertising and adventures in college. It was one of those great nights where you don't do anything special but still have a great time. Definitely two of my favorites, those guys. Ellen and I sang John Denver on the way home, and I really think that I need to expand my JD collection. My parents have a box set somewhere...this could be dangerous!

Saturday afternoon I went to see the Bodies exhibit at the Detroit Science Center with Adrienne. I was really afraid that I wouldn't be able to do it, seeing as how they use real bodies, but it was so fascinating! I can't even explain it, but everyone should go see it. We stopped into this Cuban place afterwards for a drink. I really want to go back there on a weekend. Apparently they have salsa dancing and a cuban band and they just pack the place. Yes, its added to the list.

Ended up going to Mainstreet that night and having an awful time. I think it was one of those state of mind things (ellen!) but no matter what I tried, i couldn't shake it. Watching people get totally drunk and rub up against each other just doesn't do it for me. Although, I did meet a nice gentleman to talk to. So, I suppose it wasn't a total loss.

Sunday I finished up watching the first season of 24. Holy crap. Cannot wait to get my hands on season 2!

Work is soooo slow today...
