i believe completely in selectiveness at funerals. Well, depending on the figure I s'pose, but even though I am very much sympathetic, I don't believe there is any reason I can't share my sympathies without being at the funeral. Funerals are sacred. I would feel polluting. Of course, I didn't know him at all. That was relatively incoherant and not exactly what I meant.

I think I should have just said, "go if you want, don't go if you don't want, or go out for a memorial lunch if you really want."
