Prewett/Weasley Information (WiP)
Right, so per the suggestion of aillil, I'm collecting all the bits of Prewett and Weasley info I can to hide it away to help anyone interested in knowing what these wacky families are about at hex_files. This is information from threads and players and isn't 'official canon' but definitely what we're working from/with

Dafydd and Anne live outside of Llafarian. ... which is a village just south of Aberystwyth, County Cardiganshire (now known by its Welsh name Ceredigion).
Dafydd
occupation, addition: (used to be archivist with Obscurus Book, 18a Diagon Alley, London)
misc., addition: is responsible for dessert making and generally everything that goes into the oven in the household, has a weakness for top quality sweets and knows the best place for chocolate in Europe (Chocolatier Neuhaus in Belgium) *g*
Anne
Uses the jam as a bribe to keep Bill and Charlie clothed when they are little. A method that was tried and tested on her sons before. Ahem. :D

Gideon's and Fabian's death date: 21 January, not 12
Fabian
occupation, addition: in their legal department, travels frequently to headquarters of other banks, if it's a longer trip, Gideon will try to visit him there. (Gideon told Gus about such a visit, but I have to find it first...)
misc. Prewetts:
another aunt (Gideon's favourite) who finished Hogwarts, but chose to go to a Muggle fine arts college instead of something in the wizarding world. Is a professional painter now, both wizarding and muggle.

misc., addition: Is mean killer of any resistance to his charms by copious use of adorability and sweetness. :D
Can't think of anything else right now, but more will come to me, I'm sure.

general info:
- Fabian and Gideon think largely alike on the whole
- Fabian usually calls Gideon "Ged", which is the abbreviation of the Welsh version of his name, Gedeon
- Fabian has most of the pictures of himself and Gideon (who keeps only a handful of them at his place, and none on display), even a painting, done by their aunt, the professional painter
- they don't agree on music, at least where classical music is concerned, as Fabian refuses to listen to anything from before 1820, while Gideon likes the pre-1800
- if Gideon needs to confide in anyone, he goes to Fabian, who is also the person to know the most where it comes to Gideon's love life
- they don't speak Welsh together, at least not usually. They didn't grow up bilingually, not in the real sense of the word, because while Dafydd is bilingual, Anne's not. Molly never really bothered, apparently, Gideon did bother and learnt Welsh properly at a fairly early age.
childhood:
- Anne used to take her two sons to the uni at Aberystwyth, because she's got friends there, and they were both quite taken with the physics department especially
- on the matter of pre-Hogwarts schooling:
"Fabian and I went to a muggle primary school in Aber, which dragged quite the rat's tail of questions after it, when we left for some undisclosed public school later on. We received additional lessons from Dad in the early evenings when Mum was still at work. Basic Latin and Greek for spellwork, herbology, basic potions, that sort of thing. Also proper wand training rather early on, so we wouldn't nick one of our parents' wands and set the house on fire. My parents don't think that keeping children from practising their magic is that way to go, obviously."

- first time they got drunk (in a direct quote out of a thread):
"Alright, summer fifth year. Well, you won't be surprised that it's something Fabian and I did together. I think it was the end of July or thereabouts, and we'd gone camping with three or four other boys from the area, whom we'd gone to primary school with. Hiking down the coast a bit with tents for several days, and naturally more than one had thought of digging through his parents' kitchen. I think we had about half a bottle of whiskey per person, which is still more than enough to get me very drunk. When we'd set up camp in the evening and eaten supper, we went down to business right away. As far as I remember, the time was spent recounting earlier exploits, and we went swimming later. The next morning saw us all with blinding headaches, and we couldn't do anything apart from going swimming later. We only went on in the afternoon and didn't get very far. Fairly uneventful all in all, I suppose."
- on the topic of causing mayhem at school (Gideon and Fabian did cause some trouble, but nothing in comparison to the marauders and later FredandGeorge):
"Fabian and I didn't go out of our way to create the greatest possible mayhem, but it sometimes worked out that way. Although some people would always insist on being awfully co-operative with their panicking."
- throughout most of sixth year they had a bet going between them over who would manage to have sex in more unusual places; Fabian won hands down with the Owlery, and Gideon had to pay by riding a hippogriff
- during the summers they sometimes convinced fishermen to take them along on their routes very early in the morning
- apparently Fabian was once hexed by Augustus when they were still at school, Gus being four years below them
- Fabian was good at Potions in school, but isn't exactly the most proficient cook -- Gideon's pretty much the opposite and especially shouldn't be let near plants as he manages to kill them all
- Fabian and Gideon pranked both their parents and their sister quite a lot, probably more so when they were younger
adult life:
- they both spent Christmas 1976 at their parents' house
- Fabian has a flat near Diagon Alley
- they frequently enjoy a glass of brandy together
- whenever Fabian goes away for longer (work-related), Gideon will try to visit him there, apparently this includes at least one visit to the Tessin canton (Switzerland) in winter 1975/76
