lost and found, and lost again

so yesterday I adopted a stray kitten. the construction workers found it in a tree outside of snyder. I saved him from having to go with animal control... lord only knows what they would ahve done with him there. I wanted a cat to go to new york with me, and just having a kitten made me all happy... so this was fantastic. then last night he went missing. I dont think he could have gotten out of the apartment, but I dont see how he could still be here, weve searched EVERYWHERE. he hasnt come out to eat, even the tuna I left out. so I was really worried last night, and even more worried this morning. and then at work they told me the owner had called in. so I have to give him back. but hes still missing. so if I cant find him by tomorrow Im going to have to deal with an angry owner, and if its because hes stuck somewhere in the apt... possibly a kitty corpse. at best, he turns up and I still have to give him away.

the moral of the story? dont plan your future, even with a cat
