finally, after 6 months of Monk-like training (and years of drifting in my universe [and others']), I am now a licensed civil engineer.
Jan12 was when i got the license itself. that's also when i got a call from old friends. they have a job for me. goodie.
For more than a month now, a month & 4 days, to be exact, I'm working as a Project Manager. My company's name is ACES Builders, obviously taken from our org back in UP. We work for Petron. We're currently handling the renovation and eventually the moving-in of Petron to the 3 floors in SMC in Ortigas where Petron executives are assigned.
I am now resisting to talk about politics and the evil government of GMA.
Anyway, the job is nice, except that I have received way below minimal training and orientation (if whatever i got qualifies as such), which makes for a lot of disappointing days. And the pay is not that impressive. My baptism of fire is cooking me. But i can't complain. I'm just (and still) figuring things out as i go.
As i told a friend, it's my playground.
playground,
engineer
