So many people are focused on the idea that God is love, that they turn it around and cling to the idea that love is God. Then, anything that tugs on that heartstring called love is automatically given a good label, considered untouchable by criticism. At what point do we stop saying that God loves us unconditionally and requires us to love our neighbor, and instead make love into an idol above God? And where do you draw the line?
