YES. WE. DID!
Aw, Lordy lordy, I just got off the phone with my ma and she is thu-rillllled. Let's face it, we all had high-hopes, and even I, the eternal pessimist, was thoroughly convinced we were going to win. But we didn't just win, my friends. Oh no, no no.
We. RAZED. All political commentary aside because I have a good few pages worth of that for some other time, I gotta say: unf unf. If I were on the down-low I'd be taking a bus to Washington to give a certain Chicagoan a congratulatory blow-job, tell you what.
I am happy for several reasons. Clearly I should be happy because a black man is now President of the United States of America. Yes. But is that why I am happiest? Hell no. Let's face it, Obama is an Oreo cookie. It's true, it's true. You can agree or disagree, but he is. I'm fine with that. I am. As long as he does what he promised, he can wear the chocolate on the outside all he wants. I am also happy because the Republicans lost. I don't know. Maybe it's something to do with my wanting them to lose more than wanting the Democrats to win. I DON'T KNOW.

But. Buuuut. The reason I am most happy is that it's over. It is finally over. Mmmhmmm. And now that it's over, I can get back to the things that matter most in life.
Like cigars, women, and booze.
If I'm lucky, I'll have even passed my mid-terms I didn't study for!
