I hadn't even realised they were coming to Glasgow next month. Maybe I'll go see them.

The release date of the album in North America is May 9th, but it could be out earlier in Europe.

Yup, 'my heart becomes unbolted' is new-ish. There's this song called 'Open Wider' by Bird York (wrote the song for Crash that was nominated for an Oscar...and should've won...) that was a free download off iTunes. She plays Andy in the West Wing, so I was obviously going to download it. And it's pretty good. Anyway, that's a lyric from it.

I'm checking exactly when the Snow Patrol gig is now. I want to go. Last concert I went to was Aimee back last July...I feel so deprived...

Oh, I know that song! I didn't realise she was also an actor...I have to admit I've never seen "The West Wing."

(i'm ducking for cover now).

I know the programme is fantastic and how much you love it, I have to rent the DVDs...

Bird's performance at the Oscars reminded me of Aimee 'cause Bird York was similarly robbed of the "best song" award. :)

Btw - if you join the official Snow Patrol site (and have a credit card) you can buy advance tickets to many of the gigs...

I loved Bird's performance at the Oscars...and it's exactly like Aimee. Both were cruelly, cruelly robbed. Maybe it's for the best. Clearly those with higher artistic talent aren't worthy of a 'Best Song' Oscar.
