Cullinary Hindenberg etc.
This Past weekend was the re-do of my annual Cullinary Hindenberg, AKA, my birthday dinner. As you know, it was postponed due to Lee's accident. So in proper Hindenberg fashion
a. The potatoes did not cook after 8 hours in the crock pot
b. The gluten free rolls I made were NASTY
c. I lit my recipes on fire!
good thing I'm not cooking the Thanksgiving meal. Either one actually. First I'll be working at my part time job tomorrow, then off to brother-in-law's for meal #1 then to Beth and Donny's for meal #2. I am in charge of green beans, and hopefully I can handle it.
Last night I did a poetry reading with some friends at this "empty Room" project where they took over an empty store front adn had readings all month. I'm never any less nervous, I must say!
