Last weekend I decided to do more things with Photoshop. Some of them are on facebook now. Originally I did intend to do more creative things with photos. But while not doing work at work, I came across this great site with many tutorials to do many other creative stuff with Photoshop. Stuff like making cool patterns, shapes, and most importantly, how to use Photoshop properly. The problem I have with creating these things is that so far I've only been making things the tutorials are showing me to make. Like those snowflake things and hearts. I need more stimulants to make things more fun stuff. I should probably just look around the room and Photoshop drawn versions of them. I'll figure something out. Still got plenty to learn.
With another co-worker going on leave this week, we thought things were going to get busy. It was the opposite. The week had been so quiet that when I have nothing to do and ask my boss for things to do, he has nothing to give me. So I just sat there, surfing the net, talking to others, even though they might have things to do. Work's been dry with our team, I was talking to people on other teams. This coming week could be different, end of the month, busier than normal. But of course I'll still find time to surf, and chat, and just do stuff that's not work related. This week we will be welcoming back a member of our team returning from a five-week holiday, as well as saying goodbye to a team member who has found a job elsewhere. This could mean that we will be having something like a two-hour lunch that day, woo hoo!
There's a work party on Friday. It's going to be our version of Idol. Sounds lame, I'm not going in it even though I'd be a top contender for the Best Encouragement Award. I'm going to tag along, get free drinks, and laugh, hard. Should be good.
