So on Wednesday, my parents came back from their trip. So far it's ok, there hasn't been tension yet. The house was in tact, mostly. I mowed the frontyard on Monday and on Tuesday I swept and mopped the floor, only to have my mum do the floors again on Thursday, so what I did was useless.
They didn't buy anything in particular for me, except for some business shirts and ties I asked for. Other than that, there was a shirt from my aunt, that's about it. It was only earlier in the year that I visited the relos, so there's nothing for me this time.
There's still no news from the interviews I went to last week, I think they're negative. I enjoyed them any way, they were good experiences. This evening, Friday, 6pm, I had a call from the company for whom I did an online numerical test for. They were really impressed by my results and have called me in for further testing and a short interview. I was quite surprised to get that call at that time, it was the weekend already!
Things with my life are going well at the moment. There aren't many problems, just sleeping a bit late sometimes, really didn't feel like getting up this morning. That reminds me, I did something idiotic on Wednesday. It was raining, so on my way to the train station, I turned on my headlights, you can see where this is going. I wasn't particularly late or tight with the arrival of the train, so I just casually walked away from my car. In the afternoon when I returned, about a hundred metres from my car, I thought, "Did I turn off the lights this morning?" When I got there, the lights were off, but the switch still on, great, flat battery. I called the NRMA (a roadside assistant company, also our insurance company), they said they would arrive within the hour to 'rescue' me. It was past 2pm already and I hadn't eaten lunch, I was starving. While I waited, I decided to listen to my MP3 player. After ten seconds of play, the battery of that died, it just wasn't my day with batteries. Luckily, about a minute after I put away my stricken MP3 player, an NRMA vehicle came! I was really surprised it came so quickly, that guy must have been around the area. So he jumped my car, and I was on my merry way home! Though feeling stupid and silly and whatever else, I was overall happy I didn't have to wait longer!
