Une petite pincushion

I'm slowly wading my way through my long list of overdue swaps and commissions, which is proving difficult to do after 12 hour shifts at work and recovering from the nasty flu that everyone seems to be passing around right now!

So I was really glad to be able to tackle a nice quick, easy, instant-gratification project the other night.

I had signed up for Miss Ellie's pincushion swap so I've been collecting inspiration and pondering and musing about the perfect pincushion for my partner. (I think!) I've finally settled on three:

One of these, because I've been just dying to have an excuse to make one (and you can too - Mimi sells patterns in her etsy store!)
♥ A more practical pincushion because, let's face it - the teacup mini world pincushions are stunning but not so practical.
♥ And a last minute decision to make an egg cup pincushion because I happened across the egg cup at an op shop, and then the fabric the same day and I'm not one to argue with serendipity!

I love it when a project comes together quickly and easily! I love this little eggcup pincushion - it's going to be hard to part with it!

{ The french word for pincushion is actually "pelote à épingles" but that makes for a wordy title so I took a little liberty with the French language - sorry! }
