We had Chanukkah dinner at my sister's house tonight. Ellie didn't eat much. She had a good reason, but you don't need to know about it. Anyway, when we got home Ellie was hungry. I told her I was going to tuck in Alexander, then I would get her some food. She said she wanted some chicken. We don't have any. She wanted "mac-a-monie and cheese." Fine. Just as I put the box in the microwave, I noticed it was the wrong shaped noodles. Too late. What ever.
Sure enough, when I gave her the mac-a-moanie, she threw a big fit. I told her that's all she's getting, so tough. She proceeded to toss it all over her tray, then smash it with her fork. I told her to walk away from the table and I was disapponted that she didn't even try it. She licked it then said, "Ewww." Half an hour more of tantruming.
I finally told her that I was going to bed. She said fine, but she was just going to have one more taste. She took one bite and said, "YUM! This is good!" Then she ate the rest of it.
*sigh* At least we didn't waste a whole thing of mac-a-moanie.
