C'est la vie

Alright...so my life has taken an interesting turn. On Friday I had a horseback riding lesson. The lesson was going pretty well and then on my last line of jumps I jumped the first jump, lost a stirrup and leaned forward which urged my horse on, she took the second jump at top speed and I fell off. Susie took me to the hospital and after sitting in the ER for 9 hours they decided I had an L1 compression fracture in my back. So I spent the next three days in hospital getting x-rays and cat scans and being bored out of my mind. I was fitted with a brace, which no one is allowed to make fun of me for, and they were supposed to let me go on Monday night. What they didnt tell me was that the physical therapy people who had to clear me for discharge left at 5....it was now 9. This meant that they had left me lying in bed in my brace, which I dont have to wear in bed, and unmedicated, since I didnt want to be loopy when they had me up and walking around, for four hours. I was really upset and then Kellie showed up and saved the day. She threw a fit, ate a few souls, and they let me go. So now I'm back in my room...the stairs are painful but for the most part I'm mobile. Who knows when I'll be taking my midterms, cause at the moment my meds dont let me concentrate for more than a few minutes. So yeah...thats pretty much it, I'm still going to the Dominican Republic for Spring Break...might as well relax on a beach with cabana boys. Thanks to all of you guys that came and visited me in the hospital and brought me flowers and candy and enterntained me, I really appreciated it. See ya'll around, and thanks again for everything.
