I really broke it this time. It's been all week! URG.\\
On Wednesday, my brother's appendix ruptured. He has surgery and was in the hospital until today. He's fine, people get appendicitis all the time.
Yesterday was my birthday. It was bad at home, except for the part where my daddy made me breakfast. You see, brother has gotten more presents than I have; I've only gotten $20 from my great aunts. And one parent was always at the hospital.
It was good once 2:00 came and
pirates_damsel and I went to a going away party for our friend Mollie, who will be an exchange student in Spain this coming semester. There were a ton of people there until about 5:00, when they trickled away. We watched the Conundrums' latest show on tape. We ate Damsy's delicious cookies and lots of ice cream. We just sat around in the living room and talked with everyone. Then it was time for dinner, and we decided to stay. We had pizza. Then half the people left to go pick out movies. They came back with a horrible selection. We watched Office Space, the only good one. I loved it.
We sat around talking some more. A few of the boys played a funny little Japanese videogame where you roll around big sticky balls, grabbing things off the floor. We all went for a long walk, and played a game inthe park where you spin around for 30 seconds and then race everyone to a tree. It was really funny to watch people running off in all sorts of directions, and falling over. After a cop drove up and told us the park was closed, we walked around it in circles a few times. It was a great walk, and we even hung out at the local middle school campus, which was fun. Then we went back to Mollie's house and sat around talking for the rest of the night, until like 1:00 am. It got pretty deep, because by then there were just a few of us. We were there for almost twelve hours. It was great.
Damsy got to spend a lot of time with her true love Jake, who we hope likes her back. We made a new friend, Austin, who we had heard about and seen a couple times at the Conundrums shows, but had not yet met. He was really awesome, and I talked to him for a good portion of the night. He's pretty cute too. I really would love to get to know him better. And of course all our BFFs that we know and love, like Caleb, Joel, Jennifer, Kelsey... they were all there. It was sad saying goodbye to Mollie. She doesn't leave for another few days, but we wont get to see her.
All in all, best birthday ever.
