Day-to-Day: "Darkest Pub Room Ever"

Oct 01, 2006 10:43

Paul had me do some keep-sake photographs at his leaving do last night. This was in the top room of the Meadows Bar. I had somewhat of a problem taking shots, though, as it was very dimly lit.
I used my handy EV calculator to work out just how dark from the exposure information (typically ISO 1600, 1/8sec, F1.4), and worked it out to be EV 0. That's the limit as to how far my camera can go! To put this in perspective; Leith Walk with one car is EV 6. Beltane was generally EV 4.
That was one dark pub.
