I finished my baseball season last night, first round of divisional playoff's I face the St. Louis Cardinals. My standing record at that point was 132-31, which is without being said pretty damn good. Anyway, I come to a point where I lose my first game. No big deal. Second game, I win. Third I win. Forth I lose.
So here I was, tied with them in the series, 2 wins to 2 wins, last game we play goes back to St. Louis to determine winner.
So I figure, wow, the computer is starting to outplay me. What the hell is going on. It seems like every Cardinal player and their mother can bat a .450 off a right hander, and my team is all just that, right handers, with the exception of David Wells and Sterling Hitchcock. When I pitched the latter, I won both games. Interesting no? So I figure, one game left in the series, they can't hit off Left Handers, so I throw Hitchcock in for one more outing since he is rested up. Well, as it goes he throws a good game, but wears out relatively fast because his stamina is shit. So I enter Ismael Valdes into the game for relief, and what happens, I get wrecked by doubles and lose the game 5-1. That's it, end season, I play 163 regular season games just to lose to a team that wears a bird on their shirt. Meh.
Final Pitching Stats for series:
P - Adam Eaton (Loss)

P - Sterling Hitchcock (Win)
P - Antonio Osuna (Loss)
P - Ismael Valdes (Loss)
