Real Update
Last night was Nine Inch Nails with jnel. Such a good night. We arrived (thank god) during the second last song for Queens of the Stone Age. It was kinda funny. Cuz we were at a rock concert, but we don't like rock music at all...except for NIN. Anyways, the show blew me away. The visuals and videos were amazing and...ya. It was awesome.
Came home and just sat around listening to their cd's with Janelle. Was awoken at 5-ish by the fire alarm and then the Winnipeg fire dept announcing that the alarm was 'set off by burnt toast. Please return to your suites'. Fucking burnt toast. That 'part of our heritage' video will haunt us all forever.
I bought a rat over the weekend. Her name is Susan. She has gotten quite tame quite fast. Likes to sit on my shoulder or on my lap. Gotta go by some rat shelter thing. I feel bad giving her an empty nicotene patch box for a den. Trashy ;)
I start my new Head Coder shifts today at work. Monday to Thursday, 2-10pm and friday 8-4pm. So, it is a change. I think I need a change in work schedule. These last two weeks it has been impossible to get out of bed. I was late for work every day for two weeks. Stupid. I am really liking my new position though. So much more responsibility and working with all kinds of people in all kinds of places. And I could go further with this career. Who knows. The possibility of potential growth is exciting.
The apartment is starting to feel very much like home. Got all settled pretty much. Just gotta get the ol posters up. And maybe paint my room. I was thinking a lime green. But I am rather lazy...so we will see.
I'm craving an adventure like nobody's business. I wanna go on another trip. Alone this time. Go to Chicago, New York or Toronto. And just wonder. And look at the big buildings. And the people. It would be beautiful. Maybe next winter. Maybe I will luck out and go on a work trip. Who knows.
Anyway, i need to shave my face so i had better get on that. Then, off to work!
