HAHAHAH YAH RIGHT I WISH, i was just throwing out an auto-admit number out there. dude cathy, can i just say right now that i am so impressed that you prepped yourself up to a 170+ within the space of just a month? because i've been hitting the books for twice that amount of time now, and although i've been scoring in the 170s pretty consistently (on self-timed tests and all), taking proctored exams still gives me fits -- immediate score plunge, FML. and oshit, chicago starts accepting apps in a week and i have not hammered together a single sentence of my as yet undreamed of personal statement? AHHHHHH

okay, but, seriously: tips? i guess my specific questions about lsat prep would be: how did you tighten up your timing, esp. for games and arguments? and how did you control your anxiety when the test threw a mindfucker game at you like the one about colored toy dinosaurs? (other questions re: app process to come later. i hope you don't mind the shameless prying.)

Don't worry about the proctored bits-- you'll be a lot more keyed up with adrenaline when you actually take the test. It really helped me, I know, stay awake during the reading comprehension, hahaha. The personal statement, tbh, gave me more tears than anything else in my application. I was so traumatized by reading message boards where like, people had 174s and amazing experiences like I SOLVED CANCER (not really but you know what i mean). So if you haven't thought of what you want to write about, that might be... something to think about ( ... )
