Jiyong sat on the curb outside of his house, his eyes were glued to the building in front of him when Seung hyun walked over to him. Seung hyun’s eyes were glued to Jiyong, one eye had been blackened, his lip was busted and there was bruises scattered all over his small frame.
“So… she didn’t kill you.” Seung hyun said, making an attempt at humor and failing.
“No, she didn’t, and when he almost did she threw him out. Guess who were moving in with next week.”
“You’re moving?”
“In with the cop. Yeah, they met when he took me home. She keeps saying all this bull shit that it was love and first sight… Ha, he has no idea what he’s in for. She’s cleaning up she says, gonna make a change for the good. Bullshit. So, I decided that if she wants a fresh new start then that’s just what she’s going to fucking get.” Jiyong concluded. His eyes never left the house in front of him. He was starting to worry Seung hyun.
“What did you do Jiyong?”
“I was born.”
“Jiyong you know that’s not what I meant.”
“It’s the best answer I can come up with. Here honey, come sit with me it will all be over soon...”
Despite his better instincts, Seung hyun sat next to Jiyong and watched with him. After a few minutes of nothing there was an explosion from the back of the house and soon flames where surrounding the building.
“Holy shit Jiyong! What did you do!!”
“I gave her what she asked for, a fresh start.”
Seung hyun watched in horror as the house began to burn in front of them. The fire department showed up and investigated the house. Turns out there was a meth lab in the back that just happened to catch a blaze because someone left their cigarette next to some flammable chemicals.
Seung hyun knew who exactly did it and he wasn’t sure what to do. He didn’t tell a soul, not even his mother, but he knew the truth. After all Jiyong’s mother only smoked meth and weed, never cigarettes.
