Summery: A new magic act comes to town. Seung hyun, the local magical talent and ex con-artist, is blown away by Miss. Kwon Jiyong's act, one that appears to bring spirits back and make psychic predictions. Too bad he's missing the biggest and best trick Miss. Kwon Jiyong's has, well he's not the only one "she's" got fooled.
Seung hyun walked towards the bar, ignoring the fact that he was almost an hour late. That wasn’t really his fault though, the door to the catwalk in the theater shut behind him when he was investigating “The Mystical G-Dragon’s” act and he had to call Daesung to help him get out. Which was beyond embarrassing… seeing as Daesung couldn’t stop laughing at him. He wasn’t spying on her or anything… he just wanted to know some of the how too’s…
In order to do the trick that Jiyong had preformed she would have to have a lot of background information on the people within the town. That was easy enough to explain seeing as she was best friends with the local bar tender, someone who can easily learn the inter thoughts of the upset town members. Seating was easy, that’s what she had an assistant for. He was running around doing errands for her long before the act, so he could have easily located the family members and reported the seats back to her before the act.
So the next thing to explain was the apparitions and without finding any sorts of mirrors or digital enhancements Seung hyun decided to leave that one alone. The way he looked at it Jiyong and her apprentices could have easily taken those down after the performance or sometime in the night.
Now wasn’t a time to be worrying about all that though, now Seung hyun wanted to get to know this mysterious blonde that appeared out of nowhere with a top notch act. Why would she want to come here was his first question, this wasn’t a major city or anything. She could have easily gone sixteen miles up the road and hit a bigger market.
But instead she booked a five week act promising a full house every night? A bit cocky but you have to be in this kind of business.
Seung hyun shook his head a bit and entered the bar, only to be surprised again. The place was packed, despite the early hour, and finding the blonde wasn’t that easy.
“Oh Seung hyun! I’m over here!” Someone called, searching in the direction Seung hyun discovered Jiyong sitting at a table surrounded by a group of men. “Sorry boys, but my date has arrived.” She announced while standing up.
“But Miss. Kwon, how about one more trick?” One of the men asked.
Jiyong smiled a bit, “Oh, alright, just one more trick. Young bae, can you be a dear and hand me the sharpest knife you own?”
The bartender quirked and eyebrow as he looked over to the blonde,“Why?”
Jiyong just smiled, not saying a word as she took Seung hyun’s hand and lead him to the bar. She then used his shoulder as a means to help her climb up on top of the bar.
“Alright everyone, you’ve watched me con you with my flashy broken watches and card trick. But I think it’s time for a real show. Seeing as my assistant is busy right now, Seung hyun will you volunteer?”
“Depends, what are you going to do?”
Jiyong looked to Taeyang, who held out the knife. “Jiyong please tell us what you’re up too.”
She smiled and patted Taeyang on the head before turning back to her audience. “Alright here’s what’s going to happen. Seung hyun is going to take this knife and hold it. I’m going to use my amazing mystical powers to levitate it, and if that isn’t enticing enough, I’m then going to have it cut the bows off my petticoat. I’m going to need all of my concentration skills for this so please try your best to hold all excitement until the end. We don’t want an accident right?” Jiyong laughed slightly at the last part before handing the knife to Seung hyun. “Here you go sugar, be careful now it’s sharp.”
Seung hyun sighed and held the knife in front of him, slyly running his fingers across it, checking for some sort of wiring or something that would allow Jiyong to complete her little trick. After finding nothing he turned his head to look over at Jiyong and to see just what exactly she was playing at.
Jiyong stood, shoulders even and taking a deep breath, closing her eyes she started mutter something in almost a whisper. Seung hyun watched in slight amazement before he felt something tugging at his hand. He looked over to see the knife struggling to be free, so slowly he released his fingers one by one from the handle, and to everyone’s surprise it stayed in the air.
Slowly the blade made its way towards the magician. Jiyong stood still, eyes closed as she faced the blade that was slowly making its way towards her. The whole room was holding their breath as the knife drew ever closer. Just when it was about to touch her stomach the door to the bar open, the soft bells signaling someone’s entrance and drawing Jiyong from her trance. While everyone turned their heads towards the sudden disturbance Jiyong quickly caught the blade in her soft hands, quickly hiding it behind her back.
The person who’d chosen this moment to enter was no other then Jiyong’s assistant, Seung ri. Seung hyun couldn’t help but note that he didn’t look as ragged and exhausted as he had during their first meeting.
“So Jiyong, this is where I find you? Showing off at the local bar when there is work to be done, so typical.” He said, a slight anger in his tone as he made his way through the crowd.
Jiyong smiling slightly, “Well kiddo, I am working. Keeping my audience entertained is a never ending job.”
Seung ri’s eyes flared slightly when he was called ‘kiddo’ but he quickly controlled his temper. “Well, I’m sorry gentlemen, but I’ve to steal away Jiyong. If you’d like to see more of her act you’re welcome to attend tonight’s performance at eight.”
There was a displease groan from the crowd as Jiyong turned to Taeyang and handed him the clean knife before turning back to Seung ri. “Always the one with a sales pitch huh.” She said as
Seung ri held up a hand to assist her with. She took a look at the hand before coughing slightly.
Seung hyun noticed Seung ri’s hand that Jiyong refused was bleeding, as if he’d been cut. Seung ri stuffed the hand away and held out the other to help Jiyong down, shooting Seung hyun a look as he did so.
“Sorry gentlemen, my dearest assistant is right, I do have some work I’ve been avoiding. I’l l be looking forward to seeing all of you tonight though!” Jiyong said cheerfully as Seung ri lead her from the bar.
Seung hyun seemed frozen in place. The look Seung ri had flashed him had him freaking out slightly. He could have sworn he’d seen the kid soaking wet and pale as all hell… but then the kids hair always looked wet, and maybe the lighting was off…
“Hey Taeyang, what’s with the vase of dead flowers? Keeping them forever or you’d just forget to throw them away?” someone at the bar said.
Seung hyun turned to look at the flowers in question… Weren’t those the ones that Jiyong gave him yesterday? Seung hyun thought…
“Oh! I didn’t even notice that!” Taeyang laughed as he walked over to the vase, “I just got them yesterday so I didn’t expect them to die this quickly…”
“Shitty florist you’ve got there!”
Something not right about this woman…

Seung hyun felt like an ass following Jiyong around but he couldn’t help it. He just had to know what was going on, and he doubted he was going to get a straight answer if he’d asked. Besides what Jiyong didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her right?
And this is the reason he’s sitting in her dressing room closet. Because he needs to know what’s going on… and if he gets caught… he’ll think of some better excuse, but right now this works.
“Shut the hell up Seung ri!” Jiyong screamed as she entered the room.
“No I’m not shutting up until you tell me just what you’re playing at? Running around town because you’ve got some date you want to go to rather then working! It’s taken fifteen years and I’m not going to let you fuck up again! You owe me and you fucking know it!!”
“I know I owe you but still!! I’ve a life to live while I can so just fucking let me!”
“Like you let me?” Seung ri replied coolly.
Everything went quiet. Seung hyun imagined they were having some sort of staring contest, seeing as he couldn’t really see what was happening his hearing was the best he could go off of.
“You know you can’t stay away from me for long or it starts reversing. So stop fucking around and lets just finish it this time.” Seung ri said, his voice moving across the room.
“I know and I’m trying… I just…” Jiyong stop in min sentence and started coughing slightly.
“look never mind. Is your hand okay? I didn’t mean to catch the knife by the blade…”
“I’m fine. It isn’t the worse thing you’ve done to me.”
Jiyong’s coughing had started to grow louder, and Seung hyun heard a noise he assumed to the sound of her collapsing. He almost busted the closet door open right then, but remembered Seung ri was there… he would take care of her right? After all she owed him something so he didn’t want her dying until he got it yeah?
There was the sound of a bucket being dropped, followed by the distinct sound of someone puking. That someone had to be Jiyong.
“Oh that’s beautiful.” Jiyong said in an almost masculine sounding town. “Help me get this choker off before I throw up again…”
There was shuffling before the sound of puking started up again.
“Are you done yet?” Seung ri said dully. “We’ve a meeting in twenty minutes.”
“Yeah… I’m done. We can dispose of that later… Do you have the shovels?”
“Yeah they’re in the bag with the other supplies. You know this is the only part I truly hate about this arrangement.”
“What, watching me puke?”
“No that part is slightly satisfying. I hate seeing the graves…”
“Why’s that?” Jiyong’s voice asked as the sounds of the door opening were heard.
Their voices floated away as the conversation moved out of the room… Seung hyun quickly scrambled out of his hiding place and into the room. He noticed that spying didn’t really answer any questions he had, but only added more.
Curiosity getting the best of him, he made his way over to the bucket. He expected to smell the vomit, and be revolted. Instead there was a slightly salty smell to the air and when he looked into the bucket he was pretty positive that it was filled with water… like swamp water rather than vomit.
“Today just gets weirder and weirder…” Seung hyun muttered as he started to make his exit.

Jiyong stood in the graveyard with Seung ri. They quietly watched from afar as a young boy was being buried, his family gathered around in tears. The information Seung ri had gathered in town that day told them there was no body inside the coffin. The boy’s body was lost to the lake not to far out of town.
“I’m sorry Seung ri.” Jiyong said quietly.
“I know you are Jiyong.”
“I’m going to fix this. This is the last time, no more turning back.”
“That’s why we’re here, because you wanted your last act to be in your hometown.” Seung ri said as he turned towards Jiyong. “I know you won’t let me down again.”
Jiyong nodded slightly before smiling, “Then my debt will be paid and you can finally move on.”
Seung ri nodded again before turning back to the kid. “Do you think they’ll ever find it…”
“Find what?”
“The body.”
Jiyong studied Seung ri for a few moments, taking her time choosing to words to answer with. “I think the boy will find his safe passage.”
“Isn’t that what you told my brother?” Seung ri said bitterly before turning around.
“Something like that…”
“Let’s just get to work.”
