My star is fading

What say do we have in the things that affect us?
the days where you can catch a break or a moment
to gather your senses, and smile?

What can you say when the look in your eyes dies
and you pull the thunder clouds in?

a sigh of relief for the sleep every night

but now you get 3 hours of closure
and your pillows and matresses tell you to leave
you need to stand up, stand up and sleep
with your eyes wide open
your arms stand at attetnion
fighting back the marching tears

but you can't cry into release
no they'll see your weakness, your voice falters
you keep on marching to their fast paced drums
they beat in your ears, they beat in your teeth
you ask them stop, and then you just scream

so count your bad days up
I'll grasp them and tear them down
but you gone now, your so so gone now
the cliff hugs itself in remembrance of where you fell

You cling to your guns but they wont fire
you hold on to words that are retired
you stand before everyone, broken, broken
and twisted and white flags waving.

your red eyes stare blank at the skyline
the sun sets, the cold wet feeling underneath you
you cant catch a break you cant buy some pity
the songs you surround are old and wasted
no new emotion to relate

so what do you say?
which poison will be your pick
you can drink or inhale or snot or scream
this hole is widened with alternatives to your pity

So wrap up your twenties and grab your IDs
Blind your morals and steady your knees
time is against you with everyone else
so put that smile on and walk away

tomorrow brings another day
of the same.

so yeah i didnt have a good day.

oh, and I need a prom date.
