life goes on, as it always does.

centre parcs was good.  was great to hang out with emma n' andy and sonia n' pete.

our chalet was very nice - 3 bedrooms, all ensuite, private sauna.  we girls spent a goodly amount of time in there.  we tried a vodka sauna wit the boys - don't bother; it smelt like potatos, didn't get us drunk, although we all woke up feeling a little bit hangover-y!
so we played in the pool a lot (late night outdoor swimming in october, flumes, waves, hijinx etc.) and drank, and bowled, and drank, and did archery, and drank, and almost died (10m trunk, 1m2 platform, 3 other grown adults - not fun!)

but you can tell centre parcs is an american thing - it advertises it'self as close to nature, etc but the village itself is franchised to within an inch of it's life.  3 starbucks?  really?!  i mean i love a hazelnut hotchocolate but it's not really necessary!

we drove back on friday and when i got back i pretty much headed straigh out for lou's bday drinks in a half-arsed jedi costume.  the usual crowd, the usual banter (and oh god, thanks to jason's big gay gossip-y mouth everyone knows I've had 'sex' with the new guy - louis - fuckin' great!)

so lou was hammered.  in her own words the 12th shot is the last one she remembers!  Boot's helped me look after her.  We all came home in a cab - dropped lou home and headed round the corner for pizza before returning to basically morph into her parents and tell her off "eat some pizza, drink the water, don't get under the duvet on the sofa" and sending her to bed before we both promptly dozed off on the sofa ourselves.

And yes he stayed over, because lou was not sober enough to warn me off he slept in my bed.  i know the score with me, it was kinda sexy-platonic.  that's ok, right?
