up to the moment i walked on the stage, i was SO excited to be done and free from high school. but then i realized that half the people i'd spent the last five years (as i moved to a new town) with and gotten close to i would probably never see again. so it made me sad. there were lots of tearful goodbyes and hugs but in reality, pretty much every one of them has a myspace so they're only a comment away. so that's good. if it weren't for that, though, we would have all lost touch.
coincidentally, mine was for five years also! the myspace fever is taking over my school as well, but i can't seem to tell what is different from it in comparison to LJ or xanga, so i haven't signed up for it yet.
it's the most important ones that count right <3 i am definately looking forward to meeting new people as well! but my university is quite narrow and specialised in certain subjects so i don't think i will be meeting a huge range of different people like others would.
i half expected people to be put off from it! it's tripe and other beefy organs.
i have the perfect quote from a girl in my school "everything in the world recurs, except for our lovely time in school. although i'm really looking forward to going to university, i'll actually miss school."
it's so great that you and your roomie get along well (and that you have such a strong relationship)! i really hope that i would get along fine with my dorm mates, i don't have any siblings so i haven't really shared anything before! i'm quite worried about the bathroom problem, two toilets between ELEVEN people. how is it like living in a dorm for you?
i am frightened to death of it, especially when our conversations center around school itself. summer already makes me feel as though we are drifting apart already.
I was just thinking about you the other day, wondering if you were going to post again soon.
I did keep in touch with my high school friends. We still hang out during the summer and on breaks, and they do come visit me at school on occasion.
I was so nervous about going to college, but I love it now. I'm counting down the days until I get to go back there again because I miss everyone so much. Just remember to go in with an open mind ... you'll end up surprising yourself if you do. ♥ ♥
i think i should be posting a bit more often before i leave! <3
it's so great that you still hang out with your high school friends. i mostly worry about whether i can still talk to them like how we do now, especially with most of our conversations about school and all of that gossip. i hope i can enjoy what's next in store for me as much as you are!
