Yesterday, as I thought about of the upcoming execution of Troy Davis I realized Mother Earth demands blood sacrifices to keep her thriving. Since she has been around, things have bled into her every second of every day. Bugs, animals, humans, & plants we all give her ebo (eh-bo;a sacrifice of various types such as time, money, change, etc.) via life force. I wonder how the bad blood that is spilled affects the energy that emanates from Our Mother. Though murders of the type happen worldwide everyday I feel like when a public consciousness is reared, as the case with Brother Troy, when that’s spirit’s blood spills Our Mother shakes with anger because we shook. We who were tuned in and reflective of this lynching felt the life force of Brother Troy fade away last night. A collective outcry poured from us and our Mama absorbed it all, we gave her energy to manifest the bigger picture results of this injustice. We gave her anger last night, let’s give her love today. Tell her how you envision your role in the next step (whatever that may be for you) and if you are sincere in your request most likely you too will be included in her grand scheme.

Last night I was angry I was ready to dismantle the entire fucking system. Today I am no longer angry, I am however ready to dismantle the entire fucking system. I’ve decided more than enough ibi (e-be; negative energy) has been put into this blood sacrifice. I will not add to the manifestations of negativity that has gone into this craziness. I will instead meditate and ask for a way to become in tune enough to become a vessel to change our future. To find a way not to allow the emotions evoked by Troy Davis’s murder be forgotten by the mainstream next week. The push for change has always been in the hands of the youth, I want to help them in their path towards a better tomorrow. I want their ears to hear me and my sincerity as we talk about change and ways to elevate above Self. I want their eyes to see my youth and my ability to relate to their generation. I want their resulting vigor to spark an awaking in the American communities of brown people to push back and stop being complacent. However these reflections manifest something positive will come of it and it is in this small way I can bring honor to the death of Troy Davis and all those who were in his same position.

troy davis, mother earth, peace
