I wanna rec a fabulous oneshot from my friend livingforfomas, over yonder on Fanfiction.net
The Lion, the Witch, and the Serpent
I loved this oneshot...although you can barely call it that, as it's over 16K...but I digress. Livingforfomas has done such a fab job with this that I just had to share! I laughed out loud one moment, and had tears streaming in another while reading this one. The characters stay true to form with a snarky and sarcastic Draco and a Harry who is always...ALWAYS putting others first, and forever "saving" people.
Here's a little summary:
Nothing was beautiful and everything hurt until a savior came along.
But, the question stands: who really needs saving?
Sometimes a hero can evolve in the most unlikely of people.
Being saved doesn't make one weak- it makes one human.
Seriously...go read it. You'll thank me. :D
