Huh, so this college thing? Not so bad after all I guess x]
I've only had two days of classes, but it's actually pretty cool.
The campus is absolutely fucking ginormous, there's about 16,000+ students, the cafeteria is more like a food court, the game room has 4 pool tables and 6 tv's (4 are for video games. so it's like, one=xbox, another=wii, ps3, etc) and it's just....huge.
I go to
Kean University, and supposedly it's one of the best in the state (and in the top 50 all around America) so yeah, win \o/
It's just a lot of fucking walking and it's so hot around here, so it's pretty bad...and the whole almost getting lost...but whatevs. I'm just lucky the buildings my classes are in are near each other, because I'd be lost as shit if they weren't. But I survived my first two days, I didn't act like an annoying lost freshman and I even got asked where things were, so people assumed I wasn't an annoying freshman so I was all
My favorite classes so far are Religion and Genocide/Holocaust. Religion because the professor was hilarious and just an all around win.(he said within 10min of the class: "We all have assholes in out lives who don't know shit but still never shut up. Hell, we had a president like that just a few years back") and the Genocide teacher legit looks like a mad scientist. Balding on the top, with crazy white hair on the sides....kinda like Doc from the back to the future movies. And he said we're not gunna have any exams or finals or anything. so yeah, another win.
My Politics class was pretty interesting and I hope we get to have like actual debates because ya'll should know I feel pretty strongly about certain things *cough* gay rights*cough*
English was ok, we didn't do much, just had the entire period to write a 5 paragraph essay. I was done in 20min, so I got to leave right after x]
History was...meh. I've never really liked American History...like, at all. I only took the class to have a class with my friend and at the end of the class, she wasn't on the roster and found out she had been moved to the other class next door, so she's not in it anymore...therefore, fml.
The only class I haven't had yet was my Transition class...and idek what we're gunna do in that, so yeah. I do have some friends I made in that class though, so least I won't be alone.
I have no class on Monday, like pretty much everyone else, and I'm going on field trip next month (Oct...23rd I think) with my genocide/holocaust class. We're going to the Holocaust Museum in Washington, DC and get to meet survivors and all that, so it's gunna be awesome. And we only have to pay $5 for the bus, so that's win.
Anyways yep, that's my first two days in a summary x]
How's everyone doing?
