"speaking of spitting or swallowing"
Hey guys!
Ok, I really meant to make this post on Monday...and then yesterday, but real life got in the way.
NJ Con was just...seriously one of the best weekends of my damn life.
I met some great people and just had an awesome time.
I woulda posted during the weekend, but I was only in the room during the day for a few minutes in between. And during those times, i'd log onto AIM and gloat to character_bleed . To which she'd cry and say she hated me. (Happy Sam, got your shout out :P ♥)
I didn't have the best seat, so my pictures are crappy, but I guess I might upload some of them one day soon, idk.
During every panel, since I didn't have a notebook, I used the Notes thing in my cell phone to take down things during each panel. I have about...20-something notes xD But since it's already Wednesday, I figured that most of you have already seen/read recaps from the Con, so there's really no point xD (I'll be glad to explain something to someone if they had like read a recap or w/e and are just like 'um..wut?' so yeah)
So I'll just say a few things about each panel.
1) Matt Cohen, I am in love with you. You are seriously one of the most amazing people I have ever met. Guys, you don't understand. He was just so sweet and funny and just loved the show and the fans. He just kept going on and on about how he'd do the show for free and he'd be willing to play Mary if it meant being back on the show. He said it was the proudest thing he had ever done. (He also has a huuuuuuuge man crush on JDM "Like, can you take me on a date, you're so damn charming?")
He also really loved and admired Heath Ledger. He said that when he heard the news of Heath's death he fell to his knees and cried. (He also teared up talking about Heath)
I seriously can't put into words my love for him.
2) Misha Collins, don't ever fucking change you sarcastic, snarky, beautiful motherfucker. I've seen every single Con vid on youtube, so I knew what I was getting into with his panels. and he soooo didn't disappoint. He read us one of his poems, went off on someone in russian (and then spoke english in a russian accent), he spoke in an indian accent, he ran into the crowd with his mic to force someone to do their Alastair impression, and he backed up Fred's story of him and the J's playing naked twister. In other words, love him. He said that Cas has solidified in his mind that he needs to do God's will because God is watching his back. Said that Cas isn't in 6.03, the ep Jensen directed, and Sam isn't in it much either. "Which sucks, because I really wanted to fuck with him. But he's in Van now shooting 6.01, so yeah"
I'm also sure that everyone by now knows the Spit or Swallow story, so yeah...that just about completed my life. During the auto's he was like "Danielle? that's my sister's name." and I just brained out because hello, Misha was talking to me. I just said "Yeah, every time you called her out, I would look up." (To which he responded "Psh, and what were you doing when I wasn't calling her out? reading?")
Also, real quick about Misha. people are saying he was douchey, and I read one report saying that a girl went up to him and said he was insincere at ChiCon and that after that Misha seemed really upset. just...really? He doesn't have to go to these things, it's HIS choice. Some people don't get how Misha is, and I get it...but saying that is just so fucking rude. you don't know him, you can't base someone off of seeing them on a stage infront of a crowded room for one hour or talking to him for 30seconds while he's signing something for you. EVERYONE needs to read This. Read that and tell me if you think that sounds like a douche, because really?
Misha loves the show and he loves the fan, he loves us. He's just sarcastic and snarky and some people are put off by that. I, on the other hand, love it. And I will totally defend him and pretty much anyone on Show. don't fuck with me or my show
ANYWAYS,
3) The girls- Alona, Samantha and Katherine. Alona was just so friggen adorable, omg I wanna hug her x] She said that if Jo comes back, she wants to be a good ghost because Jo isn't mad at the boys. She also said the kiss on the forehead was Jensen's idea. Also, her story that like got to everyone was that when Jo was dying, she was completely in Jo's headspace and she realized that Jo was okay with it, she was okay with dying because she was going the way her dad died. and She was finally going to get to see him again.
Samantha just said that the show was a tragedy and that she loves coming back. The boys have never pranked her because they know better x] Ignoring Jared was hard in Dark Side because he's so huge and was making faces at her off set and that being a mother helped her in Dark Side. Katherine just fangirled the hell out of Jensen but said he was intimidating and just kept going on and on about Jared's muscles and how they emit their own aura and she thought his leg muscle was going to like eat her.
4) Aldis- omg, he's hilarious. And he's from Jersey \o/ (actually around where I live, so yay) he said he felt bad ass and loved his powers until Sam shot him 75 times. xD He also spoke about Leverage and how much he loves it (and that he and Kane have a bromance) Also said Parker/Hardison was gunna happen.
5) Fred- This man is so incredibly funny and I will forever love him for the Twister story. he was just soooo funny Also the fact that YED is coming back, in fact he's in Vancouver right now, is AWESOME. jfc, I miss Azazel. He said it was funny being this BAMF and having to have someone hold his hand as he walked because the contacts made it impossible to see.
6) Rob- Rob is awesome. And he pretty much confirmed Chuck is God because Kripke=Chuck and Kripke=God(of spn) therefore Chuck=God. He said that the boys never pranked him because he's so small and they probably feel bad for him. But one day he went to Jensen's trailer with Cliff because he forgot something and Harley and Sadie like jumped him and he fell down the stairs. (idek what Jared's dogs were doing in Jensen's trailer...but that's a slash story for another day). He was like "Yeah, after shooting we hang in the trailers and make sweet sweet love, play Twister and put on Van Morrison and let's see what happens.
He also fanboyed Whedon, Abrams, and Kripke saying they were all insane geniuses and they're way younger than they should be. He also spoke about his band, which is AWESOME (I love Louden Swain)
7) Steve- lol um, not really much to say about him xD I will forever lol at the fact that he goes to these things. I mean, at least Jason had his song in the show for .5 seconds. xD (Although i'd die if Chris ever went to one)
Sightings:
on Saturday morning, I missed my first elevator because my mom forgot something in the room, so I had to wait for the second. So i'm pissed and jabbing at the button...and when it opens, there's Matt leaning against the wall in a wife beater, shorts, and his ipod. I swear my brain just short circuited. I was like 5 inches away from Matt and his muscles and just...unf.
-Saturday night, I was walking in a back hallway to get to our elevator and Aldis turns the corner, to which i'm just like O_o. He just smiles and says "How you doin, ma?" as he walks by and I just smile like an idiot and 'good'
-Saturday afternoon-ish, Misha just walks right infront of me to go into the 'green room' and i swear everyone around just about got whiplash to watch him walk by.
-Saturday morning, Fred was walking in front of us on the way to get breakfast.
aaaand, I think it was Sunday (or Sat? idr) that I just saw Steve in a hallway on his phone x]
So...yeah. I got a photo op with Matt on Friday, Misha on Saturday, and Rob on Sunday. But I realllly wish I had waited for Misha's on Sunday because he was just gorgeous wearing a black shirt, vest, and tie and his hair was flat xD (On Saturday his hair had stuff in it and he was wearing a duranduran shirt, so still win..but yeah)
Also...Matt=muscles. jfc, hugging him..his abs were like rocks.
and sadly I don't get my Rob photo op til later because I didn't grab it before leaving so I have to wait til July 28th to order it on Creation's site)
Also, don't mind how stupid I look in the Ops, I was kinda in shock xD
